Did anyone else notice the "partnering with TGN" then the link saying catalyst.viso.tv...
I cut out the recruiters info but it ends with his name and then a link to the TGN site so it is not false.
That link is to an analytics tool that you get to use for free as a TGN partner.
Ahh fair enough I didn't really look at catalyst but the url seemed like a network in itself so I got the impression the recruiter had copy pasted the wrong bits. I've genuinely had things such as "Dear (youtuber)" "Dear (Insert Name Here)" The best ones have been networks smaller then my channels whos message was genuinely along the lines of "If you help us grow we can help you grow by featuring you on our channel"
"If you help us grow we can help you grow by featuring you on our channel"
That is pretty funny, I would have laughed so much at this. How do they think that they will be able to help you grow more than you can on your own with the momentum that you have built up? This is even more proof that any network that messages you should not be trusted at all. People seriously have to think about what a network can do for them versus what they can do for themselves.
We can help grow your channel by adding you to the sub-bot's list, enjoy all your empty subs as we make money off you!
tl;dr "You get nothing that you can't find with five minutes on Google, and we get a massive cut of your earnings." If that's not a good deal I don't know what is.</sarcasm>
TGN is scum. A rep once tried to convince me that the money I made through AdSense could never be paid without their help, and when I pointed out his bullshit he accused me of lying O_o
You get nothing out of it. They just get a teensy bit of money
Awwwww man!
So you're telling me they won't help me get millions of subs and views and grow my channel from scratch?
And they'll just take my money? Sounds amazing!
/Sarcasm
Is it just me or does it seem like /s was specifically meant for autists
This really highlights how spammy some networks are, they will sing anybody to make a few cents off them. A gaming network is trying to recruit me even though I have been making videos about K-Pop for the last few months which is the reason for my growth and views.
Remember that they are not going to be much(if any) help to you when you are small and the biggest thing they will do for you is take a percentage of your earnings.
I noticed it too. I have about the same number of subs as you and I haven't put out a video in ages, yet I get one every now and then. They're just scraping the barrel at this point to look for suckers.
I've been partnered with them. YeahNoThanks.
I remember my first message from TGN. Man, I was so excited! Thankfully, I did a shit tonne of research and never signed up to them.
They seem to specialise in preying on the "new" suckers youtubers
What I don't get they get people like us who make like maybe $10 a month. They get about 4-5 from us in a year the campany makes about $50 of us is that really worth paying someone to search a net 8 hours a day, someone to write contract and deal with e-mails etc. Their profit from small guys must be less than $10 a year after removing all the cost.

ScaleLab is trying to recruit me... 3 mails in 2 weeks from the same "Talent Manager"..
I got my first the other day from them. Replied back with a not-so-subtle list of how stupid they were in contacting me. There's the usual my channel is under the application requirements but also after a brief search, they have nothing to do with LP channels. And I'm already partnered with Zooke and under contract. Only reason I don't leave is I have the advanced monetization options ("monetization" suggested I meant "molestation") and started at 75% revenue. None of that 50% and work your way up crap.
It is good that they at least automatically go into the spam section.
I worked for TGN once, who contacted you?
Also yea just never work with them seriously
Yeah, the owner of Paragon network used to work for VISO/TGN. There's a reason he owns a network now. He hated working for them.
I had an uber niche old school runescape channel that had nothing to do with LP and no link to my LPs. Got one of these messages on that.
Yet to get one on my actual LP channel.
I was invited to TGN two years ago when I was still making content. It was a total joke.
I got a similar thing on my old gaming channel.. Doubt the bigger networks will contact you though unless you're a "big deal"
TGN is trash. If you're looking to go the partnership route, my advice is that when you're small, you're better off holding out. When you get to the point of success you should end up with a decent network looking to pick you up.
At that point you should also be able to negotiate a better deal.
I havent gotten any, but i have nothing worthy of making money. I have one stupid 19 sec video that has like 500 views, so yea im going places. Like work tmr.
