I own 8chan and I got that address, not sure who "we" is.
NBC had a little foresight: they registered redchanit.com, redchanit.net...but forgot about redchan.it. As soon as I heard it I sent a bunch of WHOIS queries and discovered that one was in the available state on http://www.nic.it.
I actually was in conflict with three other registries, but my registration was earliest so nic.it awarded EuroDNS the domain, who awarded it to me.

Ah! "We" was intended to mean "someone who is pro-GG". It's not that I have a problem with it redirecting to your site or anything, because there's certainly a wealth of gamergate information there, I said that mostly because I don't expect people to go looking for that information any deeper than the first page they're presented with. Are there a lot of people who are "on the fence" showing up and discussing?

Oh, I understand. I thought it would be funny to have "redchan.it" redirect to the site that it was (probably) based on. I doubt that very many on-the-fence people will visit it, it's just for fun and so a goon/Ghazi doesn't get it. I might even change how the site looks a bit if you're using redchan.it, try to copy the CSS maybe.
