Hotel question

Hi all, I'll be visiting Hong Kong soon and am almost decided on the Island Pacific hotel. It looks nice and has good reviews, is it a good place? This will be my first visit.

Thanks all

it depends what you'll be doing, your budget, your own preferences when it comes to hotel amenities - like wifi, gym or swimming pool.

One could say the Ritz-Carlton looks nice with good reviews.

Try the reviews and hotel order of TripAdvisor or for ones in Central. It's not usually wrong. But I've had friends stay at the Butterfly on x hotels and they liked them.

The Harbor Grand in fortress hill is very nice, it's also right on the island line.

I'm staying at Park hotel now, it's near Mtr and they provide u with a free handy x phone which provides unlimited data, local calls and unlimited international to certain country which is awesome

Never stayed there but live not too far. Decent location but not much immediately around (5 min walk to the restaurants/escalator in Sai Ying Pun, ten minute walk to Sheung Wan), super easy and quick cab access since it's off the freeway.

Seems to be an older, dated hotel. Bet you'll get more bang for your buck at a newer budget place, maybe the Holiday Inn in Sheung Wan or the Lan Kwai Fong hotel, both of which are closer to the action/MTR.
