I have gone through the series listening to the audiobook version read by Roy Dotrice and would love continue listening when TWOW comes out later this year.
So, I would love to know how long after the release of a book did the audiobook version come out?

At the same time that the book comes out.
Roy Dotrice has alot of time to get an early copy and make the audiobook.

The ADWD audiobook came out pretty soon after the book. The audio books are almost necessary for my rereads, gives me a different perspective on the series. Hopefully they still feature Roy Dotrice, he is the man.
For ADwD and TWOIAF they were.
For AFFC there was a few month wait.
The earlier books had audiobook versions released years later.
TWOW isn't going to be released in 2015 mate
Until the year is over, or that we have official word from George or his publishers, TWOW releasing in 2015 remains a distinct possibility. Never say never.
lol, his publisher made those comments not him, he said he has no idea when it will be done so there is just as much chance of it coming out this year as there is next year. try reading his blog every once in a while.
Yeah, his publisher only said that there are no plans for a 2015 release date. Which isn't news, since there won't be any plans for any release date until the book is finished.
A 2015 release isn't just as likely as a 2016 release, though. GRRM's comments indicate that he thinks it's possible that the book will be about done somewhere around the end of the year. Which is fantastic, but there's small chance that it'll be ready for publishing like 4 months from now.
"There are currently no plans to release TWOW in 2015" is not the same as "TWOW is not being released in 2015."
Publisher even says "I have no information on likely delivery." The article writer is wilfully misrepresenting what was said for bombastic clickbait.
Also have you not seen the flood of comments from GRRM on his notablog?
I am scared Roy will die before the completion of the series. He was born in 1923. It would be a shame if someone else had to finish the series,no one comes close to his skill
This is my fear too. GRRM potentially has 20+ years left, but ol' Roy is getting up there. Even though his voices and pronunciation changes dramatically between books it just won't be the same without him reading them.
