I've just cut my overgrown lawn and since I dont have a garden waste permit, I put the cut grass into bin bags and was thinking of taking it down to Dawsholm recycling centre before the bags get wet and mess up the motor. I cant seem to find any information on this anywhere and the phone lines are only open Tuesdays and Thursdays. Would anyone know if recycling cenres take garden waste? Cheers!

My local shop has a sale on S5II along with 20-60mm, 85mm and 50mm for $2195 USD. I've been trying to wait for Black Friday deals but quite tempted by this deal. Any thoughts?

I kept thinking as I was watching the Fury vs Ngannou fight that I dont think I've ever seen combat sports at such ridiculous production values. It was beyond obscene!

I know many of us may not be happy with the scoring, the card itself was not that stacked, but I could not help catching myself in complete awe of the spectacle of it all, it was just ridiculous, from the number of global mega-stars in attendance, the grandiose arena and entrances, the boxing vs mma narrative, the magnitude of interest beyond our small bubble.

I know its sports washing, but Ngannou's amazing performance aside, the show itself was spectacular.

I have bought a 1070 FE from Amazon and it had a bad case of coil whine, so I returned it and ask for a replacement. The second card they sent me had the same issue, so I decided it might have been a problem with that particular batch Amazon received. So returned it and went and bought a new card (same FE 1070) from a smaller retailer (Ebuyer, I am UK based).

What is causing me concern is that the sticker that seals the box is different. On the ones from Amazon, it simply just said EVGA in small font all over the seal:

The one from Ebuyer on the other hand has a totally different seal. It says 'Inspected for Quality Assurance' with a big EVGA logo in the middle:

I have just finished building my first ever PC. The only issue I am having is this buzzing noise coming from the graphics card whenever its under load (rendering in octane or using valley benchmark).

I do not know how to evaluate it since it is my first PC, and I have never used a powerful gpu before. I looked up the issue and read a lot about 'coil whine', does it sound like coil whine to you?

Sound file: https://soundcloud.com/tobankaron/coil-whine

What should I do? Is this the norm with powerful graphics cards? I dont want to be the person to cause a fuss and return a product if this noise is normal.

My card is from EVGA and I read one of their reps say to 'break the card in', the

I am building a PC with view of purchasing one card now and another in the not so distant future. Which is why I am going with blower style FE cards.

I do not know which one to pick though, I am torn between the EVGA FE (great customer service) and Zotac FE (2 more years warranty than EVGA). Beyond these two points, is their performance the same?

Which would you pick? I am also open to other options if you know of better a better card.

Am I right in wanting FE for multiple gpu setup? What if I get one FE and one open air, would that produce better temps?

I am leaning more towards EVGA but price wise the MSI is more appealing. Help me decide!

I will be coming from a GT 650M, very excited!

I am also open for other suggestions, so please add if you have any.

I am currently in the process of building a PC specifically for design, this will include photo manipulation, 3d (rendering, texturing) and some video editing.

At the moment, one of the more difficult decisions is which monitor to go for, I will not be doing much gaming on the monitor so it would not have to have the highest refresh rate, however colour accuracy is ultimately what I am hoping to get out of it. There are just too many to choose from and reading the all the reviews makes the selection process even harder. At the moment I am looking at Dell, their U2715H seem to be getting good reviews.

I would like a minimum of 27" but can go higher if needed.

My budget is $730 (£500) but

One thing I have noticed is that plenty of the residents of this sub have read the released chapters of TWOW, an act of bravery that I am having difficulties imagining. I say this because since finishing ADWD I have been edging every so closer to take the plunge and read the chapters but somehow could not do it. The way I rationalise it is that I would be reading small parts of a book I am eagerly anticipating thus taking away part of my future enjoyment reading it if it makes sense.

Would love to hear what made you read the released chapters of TWOW.

Whatever your reasons are I must applaud your valor!

So AMBA down almost 7% today. They have come through their earnings looking good and some of their ratings were revised upwards so I can not understand why its falling today. Any explanation?

One thing I noticed which hit me as strange was Randyll Tarly decision to send Sam to the wall. We understand this was to relinquish his claim to Horn Hill and the great sword Heartsbane.

Would it not have made more sense to send Sam to the Citadel? A place that fits Sam's interests whilst also keeping him away from Hornhill. It would appear that his sending to the NW was to get rid of him completely. This will be very interesting for when Sam heads back to Horn Hill to deliver the Cresta's wife and babe.
