Is MarvelHeroes.info dead?

Question

Marvelheroes.info has been down since yesterday. If it were any other site, I'd just assume it was some temporary downtime, but given the site's somewhat controversial history, I'm a little more worried than usual. Has anyone heard anything? I haven't seen anyone discussing it anywhere. I'd hate to lose the game's best resource.

Its been loading fine for me every day. Clear your browser history and temp files. that might fix the problem.

Looks like it was a DNS problem, might take some time for your local DNS to update, or you can just set it to use google's DNS servers: https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/

Okay, I switched the DNS servers over to Google's and it works now. Thanks!

Awesome.

I actually thought it might be DNS related when CDC was having a similar issue.

Glad you got it fixed.

@Crit_Dmg

turns out our ISP's external DNS was having problems or something.

Works fine for me with IE11 and whatever version Chrome is on these days. Maybe something wrong along the route to the site for some people?

Been using it all day

In the US, no issues here.

Did you try running a tracert to see where the connection is severed?

1
SharplessOP•

I don't know what this means. :\

2
elwang•

Start > command prompt > tracert www.marvelheroes.info

tracert stands for trace route. It monitors the hops between your computer and the website, and if it fails to make a connection, it tells you where it fails.

I tried this and it immediately went to: Unable to resolve target system name www.marvelheroes.info. No hops or anything just out of the gate unable to resolve.

2
SharplessOP•

Same thing happened for me.

2
zylli42•

In the command prompt run: ipconfig /flushdns

Some users are experiencing issues accessing the site. from what I can tell most US users have no problem. Try using a US proxy or something similar.

1
SharplessOP•

Nope, I'm in the US. I still can't access it. I've cleared my browsing history and even the relevant cookies. Still nothing.

Any further help would be much appreciated, guys. I don't know what I'd do without that site's resources.

Bit beyond my expertise then sorry bro.

Good luck getting it working.

Not working for me I tried my best about fixing the DNS problem but thats beyond me. I can access it on my phone so I know its something with my broswer. I tried Chrome and IE both have resolving issues. Even put www.marvelheroes.info on my trusted site list, but no luck :(
