What is 'an'?

$ man an
No manual entry for an

It looks like an anagram generator: http://packages.ubuntu.com/trusty/an

So you got something like this?

an foo

I wish. I was very confused for a second until I could work out what actually happened. Example:

TMaster@localhost:~$ an grep
rep g
rep G
per g
per G
peg r
peg R
erg p
erg P
Rep g
Rep G
Peg r
Peg R
Ger p
Ger P
re p g
re p G
re g P
re P G
Re p g
Re p G
Re g P
Re P G
Ge r p
Ge r P

Ge R P
GE r p
GE r P
GE p R
GE R P
Er p g
Er p G
Er g P
Er P G
r p g e

It saved you from reading the man page for grep. I'd say that's a win.

The real command was something else, but I figured I'd demonstrate with a shorter command, to cause others less of a scrolling headache. Four letters seemed optimal to me.
