Hey guys, can't find advice on where to go in Velen to level up. (I've completed all the side quests in White Orchard.) What's the best area in Velen to begin in? The middle of the map is a little out of my range.

There's six places of power in White Orchard. You'll probably want to clear them immediately if you haven't. That's six ability points for you.
As for what to do? Any side quests you can find. If the quest has a green recommended level in your journal it won't be a problem for you.
I'd continue the main quest until you meet the Baron, story quests give incredible XP.
Just do side quests. Do as many as you can find. That's the best way to level up.
Follow the main storyline, do the quests for the baron, find the witch. Both have chain of quests for you to do, that's before you get into the various noticeboard quests.
Head west to helms deep
Sorry, where is Helm's Deep in Velen? I can't seem to find it.

Lol, sorry for the confusion. Nevertheless you should head west/southwest, follow the main storyline, it will take you there.
