Strange phenomena in print

Dear all,

On my DIY printer, I've observed some strange phenomena in my prints:

Due to the lack of top infill, I would say it could be caused by a lack of extrusion, but increasing it by about 10% didn't really help.

On the other hand, the bed was not levelled perfectly for this print, but I don't imagine that would be visible after so many layers of printing.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

As what u/Nuts-n-Bolts says, the "refections" and poor z stacking are probably caused by slop/flex in the frame and or loose belts. As for the top infill, try more solid layers, it usually takes at least 3 to close in depending of course on infill percentage and layer height.

Indeed, I'm pointing towards the poor z stacking. It seems to be better in a small print, which supports the theory of backlash.

May have been a bit optimistic in mounting the Y axis of an H drive with only a belt on one side, the other length of belt still as to arrive.. With the steppers powered I can also move the non-driven side of the Y carriage visibly with some force (about 0.5 - 1 kg)
