Google Music Desktop EQ

Does anyone find it strange or annoying that Google Music for Android has parametric EQ and fun reverb presets while Google Music in Chrome running on Windows or Linux has nothing?

Windows has next to garbage for EQ, the only time I had a decent one was when I paid for a dedicated sound card back in the early 2000s, there doesn't even appear to be a demand, so I just wonder why Google doesn't incorporate the same EQ in the browser.

I may even try to build Google Music APK out using ARC Welder to see what it would be like on my Chromebook.

If you can overcome the tricky install and plain interface, you can get some pretty decent audio effects for free in Windows by installing VIPER4Windows:

Play Music for Android doesn't actually have an EQ, it just displays that setting if your system has an EQ installed. Most phone OEMs include one (there's also a shitty one in AOSP). The app itself doesn't come with one itself, it just links to the existing one and routes its audio through it.

Oh that's good to know, so those are S5 EQ settings, makes more sense now.
