possible issues with Snow Wolf temp control
Got a 200w snow wolf, been using it with 28g nickel, 12 wraps on a 3 mm. hits amazing. Once you leave it alone so that the screen turns off, after 15 min or so, if you press the fire button, it turns on again, then you unlock it. Here's the thing.
When you turn it back on after extended sleep, the device only fires to 3 watts. Then to 0 watts, then it kind of pulses to anywhere below 10 watts. Once you power cycle it, it fixes it. I think convicted vapes review had the same issue IIRC. Firing it for more than 5-10 seconds doesn't seem to fix it, or changing the temp or wattage. Anyone else get this?

Just hold the fire button for a few seconds once it wakes up. It does do some weird things with temp control, but once it's going it works great.
EDIT. I see that doesn't work for you. Hmm, not sure. I mainly use mine in regular wattage mode with kanthal. Sorry I can't help more.
Ah it's no problem, this thing was a replacement for my SMY 260, and I love it. power cycling isn't a PITA so it doesn't irk me.
Btw, I am using spaced wraps on a mutation 4. Ill have to see if it's the atty or the screw connections when I rewick. Thanks for the info.
No issues to report on mine. It will fire in temp for a second before going out of tc for kanthal. Which I'm fine with. Loving it to death though.
