Bummer. I hope he recovers well!
Damn it. I hope he comes back next year. This is no way for him to leave the Tour.
Hey, we're trying to make a one stop for discussion, see rule no. 2 from the sidebar. I've added the link to the Results threads now :) It's also a huge spoiler btw.
Wait, what? That does not seem right at all. This is going to get overlooked in a results thread. The yellow jersey is out of the Tour de France, that's about as breaking as news gets, and a new thread about that is not allowed to exist? Damn right it's a huge spoiler.
I apologise for breaking the rules, I didn't check the sidebar, but I very strongly disagree with that rule. An anti-spoiler rule like this for the Tour de France is like disallowing goal gifs on r/soccer. Shows like a big flaw in realizing what kind of subreddit it is that you're running, here.
If it makes you feel good, feel free to delete this thread. I won't be posting new threads here in the future.
It's something we agreed on as a community, read more here. We're an international forum, many people are dependent on cyclinghub's videos to even see something at all about the race. We can't spoil the race for those people, a very significant part of the subreddit.

It's right at the top in the results thread.

Yes and some people think that is better for the overall quality. r/NFL, another huge sport subreddit doesn't allow those GIF like r/soccer either. Reddits system limits our options and we think this is the best possible option left. I agree it's the biggest flaw in r/peloton at the moment but there isn't an easy fix. We've spoken multiple times with the community about this issue, but no better solution has came up yet.

I find it 'jammer' to hear such a remark. I'm doing everything I can to cater all these thousands of users. I invest way too much time on here for other people already.
Well, if you all agreed on it, there's nothing I can say or do.
I feel like anti-spoiler policies do not belong on sports pages and should be restricted to places like TV-shows and whatever. I mean, come on. If you visit r/peloton during the Tour de France, you can expect spoilers. That's like visiting r/soccer during the World Championship without wanting to hear what actually happens in the damn world championship. It just feels so wrong / "off".
That said, if the majority feels it is better to have a no-spoiler policy, fair enough.
Sorry for the offensive tone, I tend to overreact.
