While I think we can all agree that My Dying Bride will never relive their glorydays when they released seeral instant classics after eachother, I think this bodes well for the new album.
I personally really enjoy the slightly higher than normal (I think) vocals and the drumming seems really solid. Anyway, even if MDB doesn't make music as good as they used to, it seems like they never really make bad music either.
Definitely excited for the new album!
I think this is great - classic MDB. The clean vocals grate a little bit, but after a while it's not so bad.
With Paradise Lost's last album being to doom for school, all we need now is Anathema to release a heavy record and the Unholy Trinity are back in business!
I don't think Anathema will release a heavy album. That said, their recent music is fucking fantastic in its own right, and they did do a tour recently devoted to their (heavy) classics, which was fun to see!
