Fitbit can tell I'm hungover
All the signs are there. Elevated bpm, crappy sleep score, barely moving around. It knows I was bad.

how is your resting heart rate so low??
Honestly not too sure at all. I'm decently fit, but I was 100lbs heavier at this point last year. So it has to be the genes right?
Guess when I quit drankin''
Wow, my resting heart rate is in the 80's :(
my resting HR goes from mid 60'normally to mid 90's when I'm hung over
This may be a stupid question (or better for r/science) but what exactly is happening with the elevated bpm? Just the heart working extra hard at supplying blood to the organs clearing out the poison?
Dehydrated blood is thicker and harder to pump.
Woooooooooah that's so gross and cool
Well, not really. Dehydration creates an elevated heart rate due to decreased cardiac output at a given heart rate from decreased preload. (physiology stuff).
Also alcohol is a central nervous system depressant that slows your heart rate. There is a rebound effect as your body adjusts to the lack of alcohol in your system.
Perhaps for /r/explainlikeimfive
mine goes from 70 resting to 78 the day after
Wow yup. Frank last night, HR is 73 resting usually in the low 60's or high 50's
Purple frank?
I've always been impressed by that. To actually coorelate what happened with data is pretty cool! Now if I could get an alert that tells me "go home, from this point on, your lining up for a hangover" that would be awesome!
I feel like at a certain point you'll just be standing in the bar shouting "What! Pfffffft! I'm fine, one more and then I'll go home." into your wrist.
Hahahahaha, ya that might be the one flaw in that feature.
Who says that's a flaw?
Sorry to hijack this thread, but is there a reason I can't find a way to post stuff? I'm new to this sub, and I can't even find where to subscribe.

Just have to go bar hopping so you get steps out of it between 12AM and 2AM. Head start on those homebodies.
"Lets RUN to the next bar!"
Night clubs also help. Dancing is a great way to get steps.
