Hey everyone. I have been struggling with the initials homework for a few days now. Any help you can point me to would be much appreciated.

I can get the initial of the first name to print in upper case but I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to make the code

a) locate the space between the names (I assume you want the code to convert the letters to integers and find 32 which is the ascii code for space), and

b) once identifying the space, breaking that last name into a separate variable, which I can then print the first capitalized letter of.

Heeeeelp, I'm at my wits end here. Is there a youtube video on how to locate spaces in strings and break out separate variables b

Hey y'all. I'm a pretty butch lady gay and when going to the beach, I'll do the usual dude's swim trunks/tank top/sports bra thing and half-ass splash around but never really swim so the outfit doesn't really matter. But I'd actually like to start swimming laps at the local gym and have no idea where to start with actual practical bathing suits. Bikinis seem impractical and generally I'd turn inside out wearing one. A full body one-piece also seems weird and I don't want to shave all my bits because I am lazy. Has anyone figured out a butchy bathing suit situation for swimming? Aside from bras, I haven't worn non-dude clothes since I was like.. 14. Help me lady lovers!

Edit: Hmm, tha

What I mean is this- I moved here recently and have no sense of why things are the way they are here, as I'm from the east coast and no one ever discusses Chicago except when Abe Lincoln comes up or maybe mobs/prohibition. Since I can't go back in time and relive my life here, I'd like to try to educate myself on your city now that I am a resident. The following questions are rhetorical and are grossly general but point to stuff I'd like to read, watch, listen to and learn about (I'm not trying to start a discussion on these here, I want you to tell me how to find source information as I'm sure many topics share common history): How did corruption become normative here, why are the people

Hey y'all! Okay, I just moved here and mostly my hobbies involve brewing beer, then drinking it. My dad bought me a pole when he heard I was moving here to (I assume) live vicariously through me. I have a vague idea of how to fish, I know the modified cinch knot and have bought some lures/gear but I don't know how to fish HERE. I went to the Chicago River on Thursday for 3 hours and caught one log, one tree branch and zero fish.

If you will invite me along and be somewhat patient with me I will trade you beer. I just bottled a grapefruit mosaic IPA to offer to the fishing gods (you) if you wouldn't mind inviting me along to a fishing adventure.

I'm the closest to Montrose Harbor but

Hey y'all, I moved here from the east coast around a month ago and love Chicago. One thing I can't find a straight answer to is how to get early, effective and clear severe weather warnings. Weather channel's alerts are shit (its raining and thundering now, the site says its perfectly dry) and since I've moved here its hailed several times and there have been many tornado warnings that I totally missed. I realize there are apps for that but what do y'all prefer? I don't have a tv and never listen to the radio so an app would be the best, safest bet. Is there an app/phone warning preference for Chicago locals? Thanks in advance!

Hi! I just moved to Andersonville this Sunday and I'm already dying to brew something and meet folks, as I don't know a soul here. Any homebrewers in the area? My experience is that homebrewers are generally the friendliest, most awesome people on the planet and I assume that holds true in Chicago too.

Can we hang out? Do you want a new friend who likes to brew sours? I'm from Baltimore but I will try to behave myself and not ruin your beautiful neighborhood. I have a brett sour cider, a lacto sour wheat and a regular coffee IPA that need drinking, if that helps.

Y'all, I feel like I'm losing my mind. The hatchet in PV is nowhere to be found. I have checked the red barn, all the other barns, the picnic area by the falls, the radio tower and the farm house. Is there somewhere you have found it in PV that I'm not thinking of? A car maybe? I checked the massive bear cave as well, no sign of it anywhere. HEEEEELP!

Okay, so I normally chase deer at the roaming wolves, then chase off the wolves and harvest the deer. But it got me thinking... has anyone tried to chase a deer or a wolf towards a bear?? I haven't because whenever I see a bear I get too nervous and climb somewhere high.

Another thing- so when you make the rabbit mittens, they're described as clumsy. Maybe this is insane but do you think that affects aim when using the hunting rifle? Has anyone had any experience with this? The bullets are too precious to test this in earnest.

Also, whats the deal with simple versus awesome tools? If my repair skills are at 100, do they make a discernible difference?

Finally, this game is awesome.

Since there's some interest from fellow redditors every year, I thought I'd let the community know there are less than 100 tickets left for CB8. Last year we sold tickets at the door but I'm 100% sure this year we'll sell out days in advance so there won't be any door sales.

Just wanted to give you a heads up, if you'd like to come we'd love to have you but get tickets now because they'll be gone probably by tomorrow. 250 gallons of homebrew, 100 gallons of chili, proceeds go to Baltimore charities.
