Need help with choosing a Windows laptop with good Full HD display
Hi r/laptops
So I'm looking for a Windows based laptop as a desktop replacement. I would preferably like a 15" screen and a i5 or i7 processor with 8GB for decent home use. However my top priority is a good Full HD screen. I have looked around and am struggling to find anything in the Windows arena that is comparable in this area to a Macbook or Macbook Pro.
I have looked at the Dell Inspiron 5000 and 7000, both of which are reported to have dim and uninspiring screens.
I have also looked at the Acer Aspire Nitro 15 which comes as close to what I am looking for as I can seem to find but I'm not sure about the styling and very matte screen so would like to know if there is anything else out there?
Edit: Top budget is anything up Macbook Pro 15 level, so around £1500, but would prefer to spend around the sub £1000 mark.

As far as screens go, your best bet is a macbook. Heard some great things about the Dell xps13's screen in the UHD version, but its still a matte display. Macbooks have to deal with alot of glare due to their glossy display if that doesnt bother you and you can easily setup bootcamp to run windows/mac os.
