I think the issue isn't that there was an interception, but rather how the "interception" happened. That ball hit the ground before the guy scooped it up. He didn't even have his arms on it. That's an incomplete pass. For them to then do a review in the game, which shows the ball hitting the ground and being an incomplete pass repeatedly, and then it "confirms" the interception, that's just ridiculous. There was no interception, it was an incomplete pass.

There was a block in the back by the defender during the return as well. #56 and #58 for Denver both block Dolphins in the back.

I don't even think block in the back is called in madden. In 15 it happened all the time and wasn't called once in my experience.

I see it called all the time, mostly on long interception returns.

If you look, the ball deflects slightly in the air just before he catches is. I think that's the "catch" and the rest is just the catch animation playing out.

I see Madden went for ultra-realism this year. Some refs are terrible IRL too, even with replay tech.

You'd have to be legally blind to not be able to see that that was incomplete, even the NFL backup refs could've called that one right.
