Uber experiences during evening and early am hours?

Hi all, I currently don't have a car, but will be getting one soon-ish. Until then, I may need to rely on a cab or Uber to get to or from my job, especially Sundays given the transit schedules completely blow then.

I'll likely be traveling around 6am and 7pm, anywhere east of 5th E and S Temple area.

Has anyone had any sketchy experiences with Uber? It weirds me out a bit, but the cost is better than a cab, so I'm a little up in the air.

Any experiences and tips would be appreciated.

My wife and I used Uber early last Saturday morning (4:30AM) to get a ride from Holladay to the airport. No issues whatsover and the total price came to ~$28. There should be plenty of drivers available at 6-7.

I've also used Uber extensively in SLC and in other cities for about a year now. I've never had a major issue with any of their drivers.

I've only had good experiences and have used the service on many occasions in that timeframe.

Every single experience I have ever had with Uber/Lyft has been better than a cab. I'm never going back.

I have done both and honestly prefer Uber. Left was not bad just uber is more professional in both my experiences.

I've used them both here and in Philadelphia and had only positive experiences. A friend of mine drives for them here and also said most riders are pretty pleasant too.

Uber and Lyft are both super reliable and way better than cabs. PM me and I can get you a free ride on Lyft so you can check it out

I've used it pretty regularly, both black and X, at some odd hours (5 am, midnight, etc) and have yet to have a bad experience.

I use Uber at least 4x a week. I haven't had any sketchy experiences. I did get one dude who would not stop fucking asking me questions... My monosyllabic answers were not enough of a hint.

Did he make you sit in the front too?

I fail to see your point...

I think I had the same driver, or at least the same kind of driver. Usually when I uber, I just want to sit in the back and either look at my phone or not think about how hungover i'm going to be in the morning. I had some guy last week that would not stop asking about every mundane detail of my life.

Ah, I see. I usually prefer to sit in front so I automatically went for the front. He wanted to know where I worked, personal shit, etc. It felt like I was being pumped for info.
