Evenings are the worst

Today in particular, it's Friday, I haven't had a decent night sleep since Saturday and I have a nasty cold/man flu which leaves me feeling more like shit than usual.

Most of my friends have a girlfriend/fiancé/wife to come home to and be comforted by. All I have in my room to come home to is a cold empty and unmade bed. I would give my life to have that level of comfort and love for a day. And they just take it for granted. They even boast about it on Facebook and IRL.

My life sucks. If I were to post this on Facebook, 99% of people would callously ignore it, and others would assault me with platitudes and say how "they don't like to see this kind of stuff" which is a veiled attempt at telling me to shut up.

What's worse for me than evenings are the fucking nights, alone in bed. Big contribution to my insomnia.

Hope you get better soon, there's only one thing that's worse than being alone, and that's being sick and alone.

Yeah... coming home from work every night is usually pretty depressing.. If it's a stressful night at work, then coming home is worse. Even if it's a chill night, it still becomes pretty dull. I always listen to mellowed out music when I walk home from work. By the time I come home, I usually either read my comic books, watch certain movies pertaining to my mood, and/or write/type out my book I've been working on for the last 5-6 months while listening to, once again, sad/depressive music.. which, honestly, helps develop story telling in my head, so.. it can help, I suppose. I don't know, my nights suck, but can be very solemn as well...

My life sucks

Everyone's life sucks in some regard and everyone's got problems. Happy people are simply better at appreciating what they have.

If I were to post this on Facebook, 99% of people would callously ignore it

As if ignoring your melodrama makes somebody "callous". It's okay to desire support, but nobody is obligated to participate in your pity party.

When's the last time you reached out to someone in need?

others would assault me with platitudes and say how "they don't like to see this kind of stuff" which is a veiled attempt at telling me to shut up.

Maybe you should post and see what people actually say. At least that way you'll have actual responses to complain about, rather than imaginary ones you invented so you can continue feeling sorry for yourself.

Yeah I think you're exactly the kind of person he's talkimg about.

And if I am, what does it matter? He'll just file me away with all the other people who "Just Don't Understand™" and nothing will change.

Whether it's about me or someone else, he'll still be here complaining. Still propagating that negativity, still digging himself deeper into the hole. Still drinking in all the self-loathing, the self-pity, the defeatism. Still doing his best to ensure that his worst nightmares become a reality.

I offer my opinions and nothing more. He and you and whoever else are free to do with them what you like. However, if you want to pretend that comments like mine are somehow responsible for his or anyone's condition, I think you might want to re-evaluate who's running your show.

So why waste your time and make him feel bad? Seems like it hurts everyone.

Because maybe my comment will shake his little tree. Because if no one calls him on his bullshit, he will continue on in his whiny ineffectual maggotism.

Because if he's allowed to persist in this pathetic little bubble, he will never experience the wonders life has to offer.

Christmas is coming up. You know what that means? Even more couple-y bullshit gracing our social media than usual.

Yup, every night.

Being sick is the worst. You just lie there, wishing someone would give you soup and cuddle you and fawn over you till you get better.

Instead, you lay there on the couch or bed, realizing that no help is coming. Honestly, I feel like company helps people get better faster, especially company like a boyfriend/girlfriend. But we don't have that. We must suffer alone until we get better.

If only it were that simple.

It's hard to put any energy or effort into something you've become jaded with, from countless rejections and overall negative experiences, it eventually wears you down.
