Does anyone know why the police helicopter was circling around the Wells Branch area last night? Supposedly it was for a robbery of some type but I can't find a news story about it.

It was circling at an unbelievably low altitude for a least an hour last night just over my apartment complex on Shoreline drive. It was making tight cicles above the pool and not leaving the complex area. As we were leaving, there were at least half a dozen cruisers by the entrance and we passed another staked out by the mega church at shoreline and mopac. Also looking for info. Found some possible links to a car shooting on apd twitter but nothing definate. Please update if you find anything
One of our neighbors cars was stolen. He found the car, being driven by the thieves, at the Marquis Apartments, and nearly yanked the guy out by the hair buy the driver gunned it and got away. They ditched that car, stole a jeep and were lose. Finally they caught the car, passenger arrested, driver ran. Eventually they were both caught but they were still looking for both stolen cars. If you live in the neighborhood, you'll maybe know we've had more than a dozen car break-ins in the past month, with garage door openers stolen, and they are pretty certain it was these two guys.

I checked #whatthecopter and they had suspicions, but I can't find a real story on it.
