Choppy aiming on console when using small and consistent stick inputs (PS4)

I intermittently get really choppy crosshair movement when aiming slowly. For example, while making a smooth, slow turn left or right. Rotation should be constant, but it ends up all jerky.

Not sure if there are other variables that make this happen, like simultaneous movement or deadzone and sensitivity settings or something like that.

Not a controller issue, since other games are fine.

Anyone experience anything similar?

To do with the deadzone, before it was bugged out and now I think they've tried to fix it but it has weird results, you guys haven't changed your deadzone from default have you?

I had to change from 5% back to 10% as I think they've made it overly reactive.

Yeah, my right stick deadzone is set to the lowermost setting, so some bug relating to this could very much be it.

There's no drift or anything, so there's no problem with my actual controller. Could explain why it's so underreported, as most probably just leave theirs at the default.

Guess I'll try gradually raising it until it goes away and report back. Bummer, I much prefer it as low as it can possibly go.

Yeah before the 1.2 patch it was bugged so you'd have to reset it every now and then to get it to work, now I think they've done something with that to try and get it to work all the time which seems to make the movements really irratic. I only noticed it as I was playing around with my sensitivity and that and thought I had done something massive and changed a shit tonne of settings when it turns out I had moved my deadzone back down to 5% because I thought the new patch would resolve the issue and it seems not too. Like it works sometimes but then completely jumps up other times. Would explain why people haven't noticed it though. I countered it by turning up my ADS sensitivity.

You were right, its definitely related to low deadzone setting. Much improved after setting it at default levels again.

Good to hear dude! Hopefully they should fix it in the upcoming patches but yeah I certainly found it improved after putting back at 10%. Just turn up the ADS if needs be.

I've notice it can take a long time to line up my sights when aiming at a small target, it takes ages to get it right having to move the man as well as the gun with it jerking left & right, Xbox one

I just posted a thread about this. This is new with the patch today. It's to the point that I can't play
