Free roam in its current state is pretty anti-fun to me.
Most people just kill other players on sight, and a large minority make it their mission in life to make your existence as miserable as humanly possible, following you halfway across the map and harassing you until you disconnect. Because as we all know, the only true happiness is one that is had at others expense.
The thing is, there is a much easier, and more fun fix for this than implementing passive mode: Just stop discerning between players and NPCs. No player icons on the map. No blips on the radar.
Now, no one can purposefully seek you out to make your life difficult.
If you run into someone while hunting in the woods
As someone with a low tolerance for input lag, it's a pretty terrible experience to play it. It's pretty bad. I'd advise waiting for patching, and if none is forthcoming I'd just hold off.
I spent my money so you wont have to.
On the other hand, if you don't notice input lag that much, go nuts! I hear it's good.
I have friends who have, due to sheer circumstance, been able to put about double the time that I have into the game. The result is that they're approaching max level while I'm hovering around 17.
As it stands, we can't play together anymore because of how the enemies scale to the highest level party member.
What they should have done is to temporarily cap all party members to the level of the group leader, including weapons and gear. So, basically all weapons and gear will temporarily handle as if they were the same level as the group leader, normalizing both the damage given and damage taken to reasonable levels.
If you still want to run missions ridiculously under-leveled, you can ju
I intermittently get really choppy crosshair movement when aiming slowly. For example, while making a smooth, slow turn left or right. Rotation should be constant, but it ends up all jerky.
Not sure if there are other variables that make this happen, like simultaneous movement or deadzone and sensitivity settings or something like that.
Not a controller issue, since other games are fine.
Anyone experience anything similar?
If we keep ourselves to purely mechanical annoyances (as I am sure the lack of content is apparent to everyone) and we concede that DICE are unlikely to change any major design decisions (however misguided they were), I think we can take some time to try to compile a list of the problems that needs patching at the moment.
Leave your own entries below and I'll add them if people find them reasonable.
Spawns
I'm sure we're all in agreement here, the spawns are a mess. Both balance-wise and mechanically.
- Selectable spawns. Seriously.
- Massively rebalanced locations for all the modes. Some stages in walker assault and supremacy are a joke.

So, apparently both r/zerodawn and r/horizon have been claimed and staked out in the wake of the E3 reveal. To avoid community fragmentation, I suggest the moderation teams try to reach an understanding and replace one of these subreddits with a redirect to the other.
There already seems to be some moderation overlap, and the CSS is identical, so I assume there already is some talking behind the scenes.
It would be a shame if some kind of disagreements about moderation approach would hinder this from happening.
Personally, I prefer r/horizon. I mean, let's not kid ourselves. This is clearly a franchise.
