My first impression of Reza Aslan was positive. After all, that was the time when he made that appearance on Fox. And then I was told to look what he had to say about atheists. A truly magic experience — in a mere moment I went from "such a respectable scholar" to "fuck this guy". Now I see he's even a bigger piece of shit in general.

Reza Aslan goes on TV and says all the right things that #GoodThink people want to be true. Pakman rips apart some of his most famous claims, such as FMG being a regional issue, not Islamic. He also touches on Reza breeding a culture of political correctness and using it to shut down intellectual debate.

It's a shame he apparently didn't notice that his source for the FGM thing was a report about FGM in Africa. It would be like if you read a report about poverty in America and went on TV saying "poverty is an American problem".

David Pakman is often the voice of reason for today's progressives.

I don't like some of the things he has done, but I think his show is pretty good overall. He and Secular Talk are definitely the most reasonable people under TYT.

Unless I'm mistaken, David Pakman isn't affiliated with TYT.

I just checked. As of December 2014, it seems he is no longer affiliated with them.
