Trip; reposting, needed to fix formatting

i've lost my mind
in the lights dangling from my ceiling
the colors entangling with my deepest thoughts and memories
lighting them in soft shades of pink
shining them with a screwed clarity

i've lost my mind
in the tip of my cigarette
of deep glowing abyss of stirring, gurgling lava
and white hot ashes sparkling in the light of my curiosity
Inviting me like a long lost love
i've only seen in hazy, infrequent dreams
leaving me with heavy breaths
and heated fantasies
and no relief

i've lost my mind
in a revolution's symphony
filled with white noise
static'd tv screens
soldiers with no family
children killing mindlessly
depriving humans of humanity
and twirling instruments playing mishapen harmonies
the sounds of its atonal melodies
turning my last waves of comfort
into hurricanes of constant fatalities
capturing the last waves of my sanity
with whirling winds of temptation
deceiving threats of lightning
and perfectly planned schemes of drowning my thoughts in nightmares from reality

i felt such a beauty in losing my mind
i felt free
like a blank canvas
or an open sea
filled with time
and opportunities
i was free to learn
and expand
for once
i had enough room to breathe
