[EVENT] J-18

The Peoples Republic lacks a VTOL fighter aircraft. In order to fill this gap in aviation the Peoples Republic will begin work on the J-18.

Using previous work from the J-20, J-31, Yak-38 and Yak-141 projects the J-18 will be developed. With Research and Development beginning in 2016 under Project 006 initial prototypes are scheduled to begin test flights in early 2021 with concurrent production beginning in 2023 and fully operational serial production beginning early 2026. Funding will remain the same as that previously mentioned for project 006.

The Peoples Republic is tentatively willing to work with our allies to co-develop this project.

• Edit: Due to all 3 nations, Russia, Ukraine and Malaysia coming on board, and all 3 nations being quite adept in a specific skillset, Engines, Electronics, etc.... The numbers above will be moved forward 1 year.
