How will she not miss him the way that he'll miss her?

How can she?

It's simple, a truth, something he refuses to believe.

Because she doesn't need him and she knows it.

Because she will be fine, better even, without him,

Eventually even better than that with someone else.

Because what she has given him thus far has been a gift,

A blessing, for some disgusting crippled corpse

That knows how to clean up from time to time.

Because he can trick her into believing that he might be worth it,

But she's in on the trick and chooses to put up with him.

How can he believe he deserves something more?

She's an angel shining beautifully and kindly,

And he's everything he wishes he wasn't.

Because she knows this and he knows this.

And so she'll thrive,

And he'll whither,

And they will both be happy.
