Scoliosis help

Might be kind of an oddball question, but I have scoliosis and it's been really uncomfortable wearing a bra lately. One band under my left armpit will fold over in half and start digging into my side, and the right shoulder's strap will continually fall down so I have to constantly dig under my shirt to pull it up. I'll pull the right shoulder's strap tight but it still happens.

Are there any companies that make custom bras for this type of situation? And I know I can't make the curve go away, but is there anything I should be doing to make things better? Thanks.

Have you had a good fitting at a department store or lingerie shop?

Yeah, actually I got new bras on Monday. But it didn't seem to help with the digging/falling strap problems.

perhaps you can wear a sportsbra or shapewear instead (similar to a corset but comfier... like a tanktop with a built in bra?

also, with a lot of bras you can adjust each strap up or down

I've adjusted the right shoulder strap so it's much tighter than the left one. I just don't like sports bras too much, I'm fairly well endowed with a smaller ribcage so when I wear them it always feels like I'm suffocating. Just looking for a comfortable solution.

Why not go to a tailor and get your bras customized? It shouldn't be that expensive, and they might be able to adjust the bra/band situation. For the strap slipping situation, you can try some clips that turn your bra into a racer back like these or you could try those little clips that clip the strap to your shirt, like these

You could also try a little suspender from the side that flips down run over your shoulder or something. These shirt stays could be used creatively to pull up parts that need to be pulled up by anchoring them to a part of the bra that's not suffering that problem.

It may just be a case of your band not being fit well and your straps being in the wrong place for your skeletal frame.

Thanks for the info! I might have to get some of those clips.
