Automized Airbrushing Machine?

Hi, I work in an Electrical Engineering devices lab focusing on sprayed devices. Currently I'm using a Badger 300 to spray some type of plastic onto our samples, but would like to find an automated way to do it. Is there any commercial machine available that can spray an even coat of stuff onto something sized like a half sheet of paper? I'm not too worried about budget, but would just like to know what's out there. Thanks!

I can't provide any insight towards your question but I'm interested to know if there are any commercially available atomized plastic that you refer to. And if you can give me an example of its use; why would you spray plastic onto a surface.

If watching copious amounts of "How It's Made" has taught me anything it's that anything can be automated. That being said, if all you want is an even coat automatically applied to a series of items then I know it can be done because it's done on pretty much every episode at some point or another.

The rub, however, is how much you're willing to pay. Most of these machines are custom engineered and built for the very specific application of that particular component/step of the process. If your company can justify the (likely $200K+ minimum) price of the machine then look into automated manufacturing solutions.

At the same time, if I'm re-reading your request correctly, it seems like you're just wanting some sample swatches to send out to potential clients? If that's the case, there are printing shops that can use your particular ink/paint/whatever you'd call it to print up and cut massive stacks of the stuff.

I believe one of those cake painting machines (they spray food colouring onto a smooth fondant surface snd are controlled by software) would do the trick. Never used one myself
