Heyo! So I have a bunch of fanfiction that I've been reading and I figured I should finally get around to sharing my list. I'd suggest them to the main AU post but it's kind of a mess and if you're like me, looking for ONLY fan fiction, it can be a hassle to find it on there. I will try to give a brief description as well as some tags for certain types of content. THE DESCRIPTIONS MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!
If you have any suggestions for me, feel free to give them to me. I'll add them to the list as a suggested fic and will try to find time to read them later. If I like the suggestion I'll move it to my normal list. The list is not in any particular order. ANYWAYS, here are the tags I intend to use.
[C] = Cyrus' Pick. In other words, the story tagged with this is either one of my favorites or extremely memorable to me. That doesn't mean that the others are bad of course, I enjoyed reading all the stories on this list.
[R] = Contains romance as a central focus. Figured If you're looking for this or sick of it (I swear 50% of all the fan fictions I've seen are sans/reader) that it would be handy if I marked it for you. Keep in mind, not having this tag doesn't mean a story doesn't contain any romance, it just means that it isn't a main focus of the plot. I'll let you know what the main relationship(s) are if a story has this tag so that you can decide whether you want to check it out.
[S] = Contains smut chapters. Meaning sexual content if you've never been on the internet before. I will not be posting lemons on this list, so if you want those then you're on your own. Any fics on this list that contain smut will only have it as a side thing that can easily be skipped or ignored.
ONE-OFF STORIES (AKA quickies with no continuation in sight.)
over and over, we begin again : Chara and Asriel bonding.
A Heart to Heart Chat : Frisk comforting Asriel who is having trouble adjusting to not being a murdery flower.
Thorns & Bones : Flowey realizes that the murder child will just kill him too, and teams up with Sans to stop them in the Judgement Hall.
Another Day, Another Timeline : Sweet, oblivious cinnamon roll Papyrus finds Frisk first, and takes them to the capital. What happens when he learns the true fate of humans in the underground?
What Lurks in the Dark : Imagine for a moment: there is no player. Frisk is a lost kid yearning for love. And Chara just wants to break the barrier. How is it, then, that they still end up holding a knife at the end of the world?
how to be an adult : Chara and Asriel are adults living together and attending university. Not much else to say. Great quick read if you want really well written fluff.
Ill Winds Blow No Good : Chara's story and the genocide run from their perspective. And Chara is absolutely in need of a hug after genocide...
Meaner Than My Demons, Bigger Than These Bones : Post-Pacifist, Chara somehow has a body again. Mostly Chara trying to deal with being alive again, and all the grief they put Frisk and the others through. Flowey being there doesn't help.
growing pains : Asriels is growing older and larger, and Chara isn't happy with that. Feels good.
[C] your happy ending : Frisk is too damn nice for their own good I swear. Frisk makes a list, and Chara is trying to figure out why. Long enough and good enough to warrant my pick tag I think.
Lost Innocence : Frisk's first kill, and the discovery of his powers as a result. A prequel to Forgiveness, but can be read standalone. A good take on Frisk's mentality.
[C] oh, tell me again it was worth it : Frisk isn't good and Chara isn't evil, and this one-shot is incredibly memorable despite my inability to form a coherent and useful summary for it.
you have earned your spring : Frisk is having a bad time. Very angsty and sad, but ends with a very happy fluff thanks to the Dreemurrs.

[R] Parallel Stripes : A two-chapter Charisk sinning short. Yeah I'm a total sucker for this stuff still. Definitely very good if you enjoy the ship.
A Kind Soul : Chara and Frisk let Toriel know that her dead adopted kid is alive in her new adopted kid.
[C] Their Humble Servant : Frisk pulls the 'you made me do it!' excuse at the end of a genocide run. Chara is NOT amused.
Frisk-cicle : Some fluff involving Frisk being cold. Not much else to say.
Hypothermia : Some more fluff involving Frisk being cold. Still not much to say.
COMPLETED STORIES (Also not part of an Ongoing Series listed below)

(14k) Fragile : Post-Pacifist ending, Frisk falls extremely ill and nobody is happy with the situation.
(43k) Blue Magic : Frisk's happy endings keep getting taken away, and they become desperate to save everyone to the point of commiting genocide in hopes of growing strong enough to protect everyone. Will they be able to finally save one of their happy endings?
[C] (31k) Puzzles might be fun if you tried them : An aborted genocide run due to Sans' interference, Papyrus and Sans attempts to rehabilitate Frisk from their murderous ways.
[C] (68k) One By One : Frisk will stop at nothing to save Asriel. A very popular fic, alot people like to use this as their headcanon. I don't blame them.
(28k) The Power Of DETERMINATION : Frisk gives Sans the power of determination after sparing him during a genocide run. Now with Sans in control of the resets, he and Frisk have to create a happy ending.
[C] (94k) The Beginning of An End : Frisk has their happy ending, but their sins are coming back to haunt them. As Chara rips away another happily ever after, Frisk tries to create a better ending.
(117k) The Best of Times, the Worst of Times : The skeleton brother's dark history emerges immediately after a pacifist run, and everything starts to fall apart. Gaster is a jerk. Gaster Blaster AU.
(16k) One Last Reset : Frisk has an idea how to save Asriel as well. Will it work?
(112k) Not all heroes are born good : Asriel defends himself on the surface with Chara, and returns in one piece to the underground. With Chara wanting to be extra murderous, Asriel banishes himself to the ruin. Enter Frisk. Grammar can be iffy.
(22k) Afterthought : Frisk remembers their genocide run and it drives them to suicide. Sans stops them.
[R] (102k) Across Times and Space : Sans/OC, not much more to say. Well paced, feelsy, good enough to wind up on my list despite my fatigue with Sans/Blah fics.
(29k) Determined Karma : Chara toys with Sans while Frisk loses any chance at a happy ending. It's up to Sans to save the day and prevent the first and last mistake Frisk made.
[R][C] (104k) Intimacy : Okay so I'm a Charisk (Chara/Frisk) sinner. Get over it. This is actually well done regardless, with a good build and a threatening villain that makes for a great story even without the Charisk. Unless the romance will burn your skin like a vampire in sunlight or something, I'd say it's worth a read.
(63k) Over and Over : Frisk and Sans are trapped in an endless reset loop. They have to work together and try to figure out what or who is causing the looping.
(48k) Souls Entwined : Chara and Frisk are on peaceful terms and they have their happy ending... Except for the mysterious demi-god who seems to be looking for something...
(41k) The Chat(s) : Chara loads a ridiculous amount of times trying to get past Sans and an enraged Asgore. Over the many, many loads Sans and Chara sometimes fight, sometimes have a friendly chat, and sometimes even become friends. Sans is a bit of a dick. Understandably considering the circumstances, but still.
(18k) The Reason They Fell : It wasn't a happy one.
[C] (47k) Redemption : Frisk intends to save Asriel and after a ton of resets looking for the solution finally finds it. Is this really the best way though? (I like to call this 'slightly brighter version of Dreemurr Reborn')
[C] (15k) Overgrowth : Flowerfell AU meaning Underfell with flowers growing on Frisk each time they die. This punched me in the gut.
[C] (45k) Time Works Both Ways : Frisk lost their soul to Chara, and now the genocide runs are unending. Sans decides to stop being lazy and stop them. Very clever solutions to dealing with immortal murder children.
(25k) Of Mice and Monsters : A great retelling of Undertale with some new motivations and dialog. Familiar, but different enough to definitely be a good read!
[C] (20k) Best Nightmares Forever : Easily one of the most memorable stories I've read in awhile simply because it doesn't go the direction this confrontation usually does. Chara and Asriel make up.
[R][S][C] (47k) All My Hopes and Dreams : (I use the smut tag lightly here. It's there, but very light.) Frisk/Asriel romance story. Them growing up as teenagers trying to deny their feelings for eachother, with happy time and many, many sad times too. I can't pinpoint why this one had me like it did, but regardless I definitely have to give it the Cyrus' Pick tag. It is ENTIRELY romance and angst related to that though, so if that's not your thing then don't bother.
(101k) Black to Blue : Frisk goes on their Journey with Chara and Flowey by their side. Enjoyed the interactions and the sad Frisk backstory. Honestly need to reread this one so can't say too much more right now.
(34k) Forgiveness : Frisk gets to the surface, but has to convince his family and the rest of humanity that monsters mean well. He also has to forgive himself for the mistakes he made in the past.

(65k) The Monster Within : Something is wrong with Frisk. Every night and day she is plagued with dreams of killing her family, one by one. Now telling the difference between reality and nightmares has become much harder, and is threatening to tear her and her family apart. AKA evil Chara returns.
(38k) Understrife : An entirely different AU where Frisk falls into the underground while the Human-Monster war is ongoing. Really interesting, a breath of fresh air for me.
[C] (30k) Timelines And Secrets : A Chara redemption arc. Frisk and Chara try a bunch of stuff to get a happy ending, definitely not always succeeding. Will they find that happy ending? I'm a sucker for redemption so yeah.
[C] (82k) Another Medium : Surface life proves to be about as great as it can be, but for two brothers, something threatens to pull everything apart. Sans isn't happy, and won't let anybody in, leaving Papyrus to feel slightly less great than usual. Why? Wasn't this their "happy ending?" Smells like something is wrong.
ONGOING SERIES (May or may not contain completed stories)
Fallen Child : Chara's life with Asriel, their eventual death, and their journey with Frisk.
[C] Unraveling Threads : Post-Genocide and Post-Pacifist Frisk is trying to get away from Chara. This one is really cool since Frisk learns to control awesome magic! Some cool fight scenes with lots of tense moments make this one of the cooler fics I've read in a bit.
[C] Ripples : Frisk goes through some crazy stuff to get Asriel and others back. Great plot, huge tension, always gets horribly dark before things get better. Easily one of my favorite series. The recent events really got me. Waiting till the conclusion is mostly done before reading it.
[C] SAVE, too, is an acronym : Sans and Alphys bring Asriel and Chara back to life in a post-pacifist run in order to prevent them from resetting. This is their attempt to go back to a normal life. <3 Chara.
Aboveworld Tales : Damn this is dark. All is not well post-pacifist on the surface. Frisk deals with their guilt and the less than open-minded humans. Two completed stories and no sign of anything new in awhile though.
Redswap : Frisk and Chara trade places in time, what will happen? Guess we'll find out as this series is written!
UNDERTALE v0.5 : What if Frisk was only 5 years old when they fell? This is adorable. There's a story for the surface as well as a newer one.
[C] Dreams of the Past and the Present : Tsukithewolf's excellent series. Hugely popular for good reason. Extremely well written backstories for Frisk and Sans, and an ongoing story after all the past grief has been dealt with. Definitely a great read! Now if only I can find some time to reread everything so that I can jump into the recent addition...
Red Chara : Chara in the underground and revived on the surface. A few short stories right now, total under 10k words. A nice, quick read and well done.
Sad Thoughts and Happy Endings : Frisk wakes up for the first time in the underground and is determined to get a happy ending. The problem is the other times when Frisk DIDN'T wake up and Chara was in control. How will things go? (Hooray for not totally evil Chara!)
An Ending : An OC named Evelynne, who has issues controling the magic in her, runs off to the mountain and falls in with Frisk. The journey through Undertale commences!
Reset : Sans is the Judge for the king, and begins investigating the Timelines with Gaster. His backstory, like why his physical stats were so weak.
[C] Antebellum : The war hasn't happened yet, but the tension between the races is tangible. Frisk and Chara both end up in the monster side. I'm a huge fan of this one, especially with the unique setting.
[C] You Wear Your Grief Like a Badge : Chara redemption for the freakin WIN! Chara is pretty chill as they co-exist with post-pacifist Frisk. Adoption, Flowey, and more struggles besides.
Duality : Frisk realizes that they don't want to be fighting for their lives, and just want to be somewhere happy and safe. The first and currently only entry in this series is about them choosing just that, and how it changes the underground. Recently started, so looking forwards to seeing how this develops. This is post-genocide, so expect Chara to show up I think.
[C] The Dreamers : Story of Fortune or 'Frisk' as they once again journey into the underground. There's some crazy stuff going on with the end goal of saving Asriel. Chara is pretty chill and is involved heavily. Gaster is around too, and is working with Frisk and Chara. I can't say much without spoiling the mystery and build up so just, you know, read. To quote the author: "I tried to capture the essence of Undertale, and I captured the essence of Andrew Hussie."
[R]****[C] you can only use your own : Long One-Shots from the world of Chara and Asriel, but with a major divergence. I enjoyed the take on Chara's mentality, Asriel's mentality, and their pretty unhealthy relationship for awhile. Chara/Asriel pairing.
~NEW
faded morning glories and hopes for a better future : A series of short one-shots with Chara, Frisk, and Asriel living together. Starting with Frisk saving the lost Dreemurr kids, and moving onto the surface.
Messing with time(lines) : The timelines aren't working the way that they're supposed to be, and Frisk isn't sure what they can do about it. It seems that, no matter how hard they try, they just can't reach their happy ending.
[R] Of Mythics and Origins : Charisk with a significantly less soft Frisk, and some crazy stuff happening.

- These are stories and/or series that are suggested by folks in the comments or just caught my eye that I haven't read through yet. If I read through it and enjoy it I'll move it up to the list proper. Till then, they'll be shown here. Since I haven't read them I can't provide a real description or comment on their content. As a result, most of them will just have their summaries. (Or summaries of their summaries)
Fangs, Thorns, and Monster Horns : (Love the rhyme!) Post-Pacifist, tagged with romance, Frisk/Muffet and Sans/Toriel ships, deals with reintigration of monsters with humans. Summary is long, check that for more.
Undertale: After Freedom : A year had passed since Frisk freed the monsters from the underground. Now, Frisk lives with Toriel along with Sans and Papyrus, and every day is a new adventure as they do their best to help their new friends adapt to living on the surface.
A Dream and a Dreemurr : Female Frisk/Asriel romance story about rescuing Asriel. Post-Pacifist of course.
The Scientist : A series about Gaster, his life and work, his downfall, and the fallout of said downfall.
Spider's Parlor : After the ending of the True Pacifist Run both monsters and humans have started to live in the same community. Muffet is one of the monsters that has had success, but she didn't do it alone. She has Frisk to largely thank for her successful business. (Frisk/Muffet) A long one.
Swaptale Revamp : Remember the old Swaptale comic that was discontinued? This is a revamped version in fan fiction form with the blessing of ScotchTapeOfficial.
Flowey Is Not a Good Life Coach : Flowey gets bored and decides to change up one of his runs. Papyrus presents an interesting project, for the moment. I'm filled with dread at what this will entail once I start reading.
Confidential : Frisk is a detective, and he's recently stumbled on some rather... interesting evidence. And her name, is Chara Dreemurr. You know, the king and queen's daughter. The prince's sibling. The brutal murderer. Although, he was the only one who knew about that last one.
Day to Day : By the same author who brought us 'One by One'. In his words, '"Day to Day" mostly covers Asgore's encounters with the fallen humans and a bunch of miscellaneous pre-game stuff that I was interested in. It's a lot shorter and a little more experimental than "One by One," but if you're interested, feel free to give it a look.'
The Sound of Silence : The sequel to The Best of Times, the Worst of Times so yeah. It's not in a series though, so I'll add it here.
Welp, that's all folks. Lemme know what you think of the format, the different stories, if I messed up tagging, if a link doesn't go to the beginning of a story, etc. I'll take any suggestions.
