[C] The Golden Quiche : This one is really FREAKING cool! Easily one of my favorites right now. Lots of post-pacifist Frisk stress, a magic system and magic integrated with human society, some really cool new characters as well as great intrepretations of current ones. The story so far is really well done and is keeping me on the edge of my seat... I could rant for awhile. Give this one a shot!

[R] A New Beginning : Frisk manages to save Asriel. The story is tagged Romance so I'm rolling with it, haven't read too far in yet though. Chara is involved I believe.

[R] Undertale: (file name not found) : So replace Frisk with an OC and apparently there's gonna be romance later. The progression of events is quite different so far, which keeps what is essentially a retelling with an OC quite interesting. Slow build.

Waiting for Change : Sans starts breaking the rules to stop Chara. Cool fights and satisfying murder child murdering and what not. Looking forward to seeing how this all goes to hell.

[C] Paring : Frisk has a serious self-harm and self-hatred problem. Chara's murderizing probably didn't help that. Despite that Chara probably is the best help Frisk gets for a while, huh. Love me some redemption for Chara. Either way, I love how this has been developing and I'm a sucker for this type of stuff.

[C] Mercy : Alright so I'm, in general, a complete sucker for any interaction between Chara and Frisk that isn't just generic Demon v Angel stuff. Either way, this is an Underswap AU where Frisk attempts to teach Chara the concept of Mercy.

there when you call : Frisk confesses early on to Sans about the passenger in their head, and the violent intentions they have. This is Sans trying to keep Frisk from becoming a murder child. Good luck with that.

[C] On the Edge of a Knife : This follows it's own AU centering on The First Child and Asriel, eventually branching into other fallen children. There is some seriously cool world building going on in this story. The Fluff is adorable, and the characters are quite neat. The pirate amuses me. Extremely drawn out and eventually going to basically be a full novel length work. Man I just wish this updated more.

[C] Arcanotale : Man, it's rare to find a story where Frisk isn't a perfect cinnamon roll. Frisk and Chara interactions, magic present in human society, great humor and personality for Frisk and Chara, pretty much nails around 70% of my favorite things. Frisk is such a freaking flirt.

[C] Reset : Frisk is caught in an endless loop, and it seems that someone else is willing to kill them for good to end it. I can't say too much without spoiling, but I am quite a fan of this one.

[R] To Love Thy Self : I'm such a sucker for Charisk, god damn it. Yeah okay that's the biggest draw for me, but there's some legitimately good stuff as well. If you're a sucker like me you'll love it. If you're a normal person, you may still enjoy it.

[C] Glitch : Easily one of my favorite stories so far. It's so different compared to most others due to the addition of an OC reader Avery. Basically they were trapped for a LONG time in an endless loop that lasted about 6 months each time. They did the murder and got tired of it, and basically lost all real sanity and their moral compass. Falling into the Underground allows them a chance to finally die for good. Love the interactions between Chara, Frisk, and Avery.

[R] My Soul to Take : Okay so the main reason this is here is two-fold. One, Geno!Frisk is so freaking rare it's like a goddamn magical unicorn. Two, I'm a filthy Charisk sinner. If you aren't interested in either of those, I have no clue if you'd enjoy it really.

[C] Strange Places : HOOPLA! Chara redemption time! Love me some non-demon murder child! In all seriousness, the interactions between Frisk, Chara, and Sans are great. The way the Third One is involved is quite interesting, and this story stressed me out quite a bit. Good read, have some fan art since you don't need to read the story to enjoy it.

Genocide Number Ninety : So many Genocides in, with Frisk and Chara unable to stop themselves from murdering everything. Sans breaks the game pretty much and threatens players over the fourth wall because he's Sans. Love me the non-demon murder child and their interactions with 'Frisky'. Need to reread this one, so can't say much more.

The Fourth Path : Chara redemption and interactions with Frisk. Not a ton more to say other than that. Frisk is a sad child. Some crazy stuff later on.

Wthout Words : Nearly 10 year old Frisk is diagnosed with a terminal illness on top of muteness. Desperate to be a kid after nothing but hospital visits and medicine, they run off to the mountain and fall into the underground. How will Frisk be Frisky or Frisk at all if their muscles are deteriorating?

Still Just You (Still Just Me) : Frisk and Narrator!Chara chillin on the surface. The style of storytelling and the occasional plot are well done. I like Chara's personality and their interactions with Frisk.

UNDERTALE: The First Run : I haven't been posting a few due to how long since the last update, and this would have been one of them... But I REALLY wanna see how this one develops. I love how Chara was shown in this first chapter, so it would be great if folks could give this one attention and encourage the author to continue!

Genocidal Escape : Love me some Geno!Frisk and Chara interactions. Plus Sans trying to save the day by saving monsters from the murder children. Good stuff!

The RESET, the Child, and the Misunderstood : Yeah I'm still a total sucker for Chara redemption and interactions/fluff between the two fallen children. Chara goes from murderous rage to fairly chill. Been awhile since I read this so I can't say much more about it.

Undertale Pacifist's Mask : So Frisk is a bit of a badass crazy child escaping from a crazy dark and magical demon filled past? I enjoy the change from cinnamon roll Frisk more than anything really. Crazy stuff in here, but beware the grammar. Gets better later but kinda rough early on.

False Hope Is A Bitch : Frisk is have major issues dealing with the Genocide Run. Nightmares, Self-Harm, and a whole mess of general mental health issues and angst. Oh golly.

[C] Reach Out : I F***ING LOVE THIS STORY! EASILY IN MY TOP 3. Ahem, anyways... Frisk is happy on the surface until the world is reset again. Great Chara redemption (Although they aren't really much of a murder child in this one... EVEN BETTER!) and interactions/fluff. On top of that is some great magic discovery and backstory to Frisk that makes me want to hug them so much. I LOVE this story, did I mention that?

Their Savior, Frisk : Frisk just wants a happy life and monster equality. Guess what doesn't happen? Also known as F*** humans in my mind.

Living without a soul : Frisk loses their soul and Flowey is a dick. Sans is not happy... Well no one is really. Not much more to tell, fairly new. Slow update rate.

disinclined : A new one, set in Underswap. Loving Frisk in this one. Still find it strange that TEMMIE is the replacement for Flowey in underswap, but hey. Not much more to say till we see more of this story.

Ghost Days : Chara's ghost is brought back and then reincarnated as the human 'Leo'. I enjoy seeing how Chara might have been without their experience in the underground and surface before, since their memories are foggy due to amnesia.

Timekeeper : Another one where the phrase 'F*** Humans' is in the back of my mind the entire time. After being happy on the surface, Frisk accidentally resets after panicking due to Humans attacking their friends and family. Sans was not happy about that.

Relearn what's been forgotten : Frisk and Chara strike a deal. Frisk would do it Chara's murdery way, and Chara would do it Frisk's more hug-related way. Chara redemption incoming, which immediately makes me a sucker. Good stuff so far though, so no regrets.

Corrupted File Exe : Chara showing up to destroy Frisk's happy ending leaves the company scrambling to figure out a way to protect Frisk. Especially since Chara seems to have the most determination now.

[R]****[S] Would That Make You Happy? : The longest Undertale Fanfiction I've seen by a huge margin, but definitely a pretty good one. If you don't like Sans/Reader fics then it's a time sink, but it has some great emotional moments that make it worth the considerable task of reading it if you enjoy romance fics. Sans/Named Female Reader.

An Abandoned Quiche : Frisk really needs a hug and Chara isn't a demon! All great things for a story I'd say. I need to reread this one so I can't comment much other than that, check out the summary for more.

Sugarless Milk Chocolate : Chara wants Sans as their partner, and Sans really isn't amused. A cute story title with very less-than-cute content. Some excellent murder child going on here.

[C] Brokentale : The timeline has been reset so many times that things are starting to break. Now what were once brief glimpses and Deja Vu have become full fledged dreams and visions. If the resets keep happening, it's only a matter of time until everyone remembers everything... Or the universe implodes. You never know with this kinda stuff after all.

[C] CharaTale : A story about Chara and a weak Frisk. Chara is trying so hard to find a happy ending here, and it keeps getting ripped away.

Do You Like Our Family? We Made It With Our Tears : Just started. Not much to say other than Frisk being haunted by night terrors and probably by Chara themselves. Gonna have to wait and see for this one.

Equation of the Soul : Chara has two personalities and is in control of Frisk after they attempt a new game. No one is happy with this situation. Murder-child-ing will ensue. Can Chara's more human personality win out?

[C] UPPERTALE : Frisk sold their soul and has to deal with Chara in a post-pacifist run. Eventually though Chara works with Frisk as they learn human magic and fighting. Addition of a magic system immediately puts this center-stage for me.

Anomaly : A terrified, beaten, and abused Frisk shows up in Gaster's lab. Will Gaster perform his duties or show mercy to the human? God this makes me terrified for Frisk.

Above and Below : Alright this one has a few serious moments, but has cartoon hilarity mixed in so much that reading it usually leaves me a laughing mess. I'm pretty far behind due to how long this one is but it's worth a read just for the laughs. Helicopter papyrus is excellent.

[C] The Machine : Frisk has their happy ending on the surface with their new family, but being the mischievous little kid they are they decide that messing with Sans' mysterious covered machine would be a fun idea... Flowey comes along because honestly, who could say no to a face like that?

[C]****[S] Moths to A Flame : Based off of an AU called HorrorTale, one of the most unique starts to any undertale story I've ever seen. I'm eagerly awaiting seeing how this develops in every way. Frisk finds a seemingly unnatural hole in the mountain they patrol. World with occult and religious elements. It's an amazing world with excellent characters and interactions and an overall sense of forboding.

Sanguine : This looks like it has a magic system in the works and as a result I am awaiting the next chapters with much excitement. Chara is a princess for a human kingdom, but gives up that life (which she hated anyways) when she gets an arranged marriage. This is VERY different from your usual Undertale experience. Probably gonna be in the running for a Cyrus' pick tag when it has more chapters uploaded.

When is it truly too late to SAVE someone? : What started as a bit of a retelling of Undertale and the resets changed into something else entirely. Chara redemption always makes me a happy camper!

The Beginning? : Frisk jumps into mount Ebbot after deciding they weren't wanted. While they have no memories, it seems they have some worrying deja vu along with the rest of the cast...

Undertale: The Seventh Soul : This protagonist is kind of an obnoxious brat, and that definitely made it stand out for me. A retelling with a ton of divergence along the way.

[C] Undertale: Dissonant Darkness : Frisk, her big sister Selendis, and their friend Tenebris all wind up in mount Ebbot. I enjoyed the way the new characters interacted with the old, as well as the good divergence from regular Undertale. Eventual romance between the two OCs. Gonna be seeing all 3 routes apparently.

Twin Troubles : Frisk and Chara fall together, as twins. Needless to say that this changes how the game proceeds quite a bit. The two had a falling out before then, heh, fell.

[C] A Frisk to the Past : Summary tells it just fine. Frisk wakes up cold and injured on the floor of the Ruins with no recollection of how he ended up there. Luckily, he meets a small white-furred monster named Asriel who wants to be friends. But there's something wrong with all this. It's as if he wasn't meant to be here, or someone didn't want him here... The days are dark ahead.

Soulless : Post-Pacifist Souless Frisk. Not much else going on yet so just waiting to see how this develops. Sans isn't having a good time either.

Betrayed : Post-Pacifist Souless Frisk. Using Frisk to kill their friends, Chara intends to start a new Human-Monster war. Bad times for all of course.

[C] Deliverance : Frisk wants to save everyone and has promised to do so, but she has to deal with holes in her memories, her regrets, and those that haven't forgotten. So far there's a lot of fluff and also a lot of not-fluff. Oh deary. I'm anticipating the next updates enough to give this my pick tag. It's very well done so far.

Be Not Deceived : An interesting AU where Chara is the devil and Frisk gets sent to hell with no sin, lies, or guilt. Very interesting indeed.

[C][R][S] Breaking Barriers : A Post-Pacifist Frisk/Asriel romance fic with smut. Honestly not sure but so far it's very fluffy, very well written, could have a magic system coming up, so yeah. Honestly can't all out recommend it if you don't like the ship here.

Navigating Is Hard When Your Eyes Are Incorporeal And Have A Nihilistic Sense Of Humour : Blind!Frisk Charisk sin, so yeah I'm biased as hell here. Regardless, I feel like this is done well enough to justify a read even if you don't enjoy Charisk. I usually shy away from Blind!Frisk stories, but this one has me pretty convincingly. Blind!Frisk's Journey through the underground.

Hungry : Pure Charisk SIN with a lot of fluff and an interesting premise. Frisk is a vampire who enters the underground hoping to avoid humans. Chara survived the buttercups and has continued living in the underground. Frisk is the first 'human' since.

Declivity : Chara re-awakened with the human before Frisk, and now Frisk is falling into a very different underground. Seems like it's all down hill from here! (See what I did there?)

The Code Word Being Insanity : 5 years after the barrier is broken, Chara has their own body and they and Frisk lead pretty normal lives. Pretty slow updates, but I'm eagerly awaiting the next chapter never-the-less. This one is definitely in the running for a pick tag if it keeps going this way.

The Lost Soul : Frisk falls down and is severely injured. The twist is that Chara and Asriel are living with Toriel in the ruins, and Frisk lives with them.

[C] i said i'd give you the world (but it's no shocker that i failed) : Judgment hall fights are always a little bit different, but it always boils down to a dance with a demon. Except when the demon starts to talk, they're edging more and more towards the image of a fallen angel who had simply stumbled into the wrong choices. Chara adapts to having a soul again. Contains an interesting headcannon regarding the fallen humans that I'm holding on to for awhile I think.

[R] Possession : Charisk, but definitely doesn't start out that way. Frisk is happy on the surface, until Chara begins his plans to get revenge on humanity.

Ghost Buddy : Chara and Frisk learning to cope with being stuck together while journeying through the underground. Mild Charisk, not heavy since they're kids.

Long Road : Frisk and Flowey on the surface. Not much to say yet, so here, have a summary : A Year has passed since happily ever after, but happy endings are not one time events. Happy endings are something you must work at, something that must be constantly maintained. For one disturbed flower in particular, happily ever after is still far away; but that doesn't mean he must travel the long road to recovery alone.

[R] You'll Never Cry Again : Charisk, but through a reluctant genocide run. Frisk just wants to help Chara.

[R] Determined Love : More Charisk. Frisk just wants to save everyone. Unless you are a total sucker for this ship like I am, I'm not sure you'll like this one. It's entirely Charisk fluff pretty much.

[R] Charisk with the Morning Dew : Oh look, the pairing is in the title. Oh look, it's another one of em. Yes I'm obsessed. Bite me. <3 Very domestic. Again, if it's not your ship probably don't bother.

Empty Dreamer : A story about Chara's past, and you can imagine that it's going to get sad and dark I'm sure. Canon divergence, some interesting stuff with other humans being involved.

The Little Prinxie : Can be summed up with "What if Chara lived long enough to become the underground's monarch?" Cannon divergence of course.

The Monster in Me and You : A horrortale AU adaptation with a really unique backstory for the human world and Frisk. The monsters are twisted killers and Frisk has to make it through without losing their convictions. Easier said than done of course.

[R] Practice makes perfect : A Chara backstory-story with some serious abuse. I'm talking full on rape and what not, and based on the E rating and notes, the author intends to go into detail regarding that. Watch out if you prefer to avoid that kind of content.

~NEW

Symbiont : Chara and Frisk going through the underground. They get along about as well as you'd expect. Kudos to the author for the formatting and style. Very slow updates.

Flowey's Better Ending : What if Toriel and the others were too late to stop Asgore? What if Asgore was more of a dick than usual at the same time? Definitely has my interest, may get my pick tag later.

What is a promise but a glitter-coated lie? : Chara and Frisk co-existing on the surface while also exploring the two's tricky past. Chara is pretty chill honestly, compared to the average depiction.

Future Rust, Future Dust : Chara's story before and during their stay in the underground. They have their moments. Author's summary: 'small sad child falls down a hole and winds up with loving goat family.'

Soul-Walker : I'm honestly not 100% sure on how this is going to go so far, but it has a magic system which will probably be very important later on. And Fluff. All good stuff!

Unity : Chara and Frisk going through the underground. Largely from Chara's perspective and with another fairly soft interpretation of Chara. No complaints here.

[R]****[S] Till the Grave : Frisk/Asriel high school romance. Not much else to say there.

[C] Undertale: Emergence : After hundreds of resets, each lasting a week on average, Frisk has their perfect ending. But how will things change as time goes on? Written by multiple authors, and has definitely caught my interest so far.

[C] Undertale: A New Day : A retelling of Undertale but diverges in such a way that Day (the new protagonist) does very little actual fighting. Familiar, yet different, and very cute.

Metamorphose : Just started and I know almost nothing about what's going on, but one of my favorite authors is involved, whittler_of_words. Shout out to that guy!

Wow, I really do obsess over Chara and Frisk. There is a ton of that here.
