Hypnagogia in Reverse
The morning sun meanders through my shades
Illuminating the bed
Where I lie barely awake
My eyes are half opened, and my senses are dulled
I'm unsure where I am
As I've forgotten the world
When you've seen enough roads and slept in enough beds
In the early hours uncertain
Where you've laid down your head
Sleep seizes your consciousness and strips it of time
As you float into your body
And away from your mind
