Why does it seem like there's an inverse relationship between the length of one's run report and the amount of training someone does before a race?

No time to train....still writing the report from my last race.

Some people just want all the attention without putting any of the work in. I bet this guy was hoping for compliments on his really amazing and sexy finish line photo, as well.

Why is he rubbing his nips in the finish photo. It's disturbing

10
JJDavidson•

You don't rub your nipples while you run? Fucking amateur hour.

Too busy gargling gus and "filling my shorts" I wish one day I can be such an amazing realrunner like you nipple rubbers are. #somuchimpressivrness # literallywow #whyamisolonely #diabetus #pleasehelp #blessed

Also available in audio book format, and coming soon to the silver screen as a three part epic starring Christian Bale.

Oh, you think hobbyjogging is your ally. But you merely adopted the yog; I was born in it, moulded by it. I didn't see the finish line until I was already a man, by then it was nothing to me but taking-part-medals!

Running 42 km in a row would be extremely painful...for you.

He talks about all the stuff like Strava and GPS watch and hobby joggers and has tights on in his photos. That means he clearly reads r/running a lot.

Remember when you post on r/running. These are the people giving you advice. Watch out.

These are the people giving you advice.

So first off my apologies if this comes off as a humble brag.

The last time I went to buy shoes at Sports Authority the guy working there was telling me about how he only runs in zero drop minimalist shoes. He was going on and on and on about all the benefits about running in minimalist shoes (and I was honestly kind of eating it up thinking I should get some minimalist shoes), then asked how much I run. I told him roughly 40-50 miles a week or so and he was like "damn! I only run about 5 or 6 miles a week!"

And it was at that point I realized that I need to be more selective about who I take running advice from.

The local store I go to has a staff that's about 50% runners from the local high school. So on one hand, I'm taking advice from children, but on the other hand those children are way better runners than I am. I still haven't decided if that makes me sad or not, but I usually walk out the door with good shoes.

Now that I am officially a professional marathoner, I plan on giving advice to ultra runners exclusively, since I feel that their and mine experiences are so similar.

Maybe this volunteer-assaulting, no-training hobby jogger doesn't give a shit, but by posting a pic with race number, he basically just doxxed himself.

Maybe it's a veiled attempt to attract a hot, sexy urologist to speak with him regarding his too-frequent urination?

Are we going to track him down and push him over?

I'll be honest, I'm sympathetic to the guy taking shots about his phone. He wasn't just taking a call he was using it like a cheap GoPro judging by the photos.
