Anker PowerPort+ 5 with the 12" iPad Pro

Has anyone tried it yet? Does it charge at the same speed as using the USB-C Apple charger? Costs about the same as Apple's charger but has a total of 5 USB ports.

Yes. Same speed. Highly recommended.

No it doesn't charge at the same speed as the 29W apple charger. Stop shilling.

Most Amazon reviews clearly says it doesn't fast charge the iPad Pro. If you say it does, provide proof.

No shilling. People who throw around accusations of shilling usually work for a competitor.

The Anker has 29 watt output on the USB-C port so it should charge at the same speed.

Even though it "should" charge at the same speed, I think you may want to research a bit before giving other people advice as fact. There is a macrumors thread which I'll link below, where multiple users who have the Anker charger clearly say it does not charge at the same speed as the Apple 29W charger.

Says the guy who doesn't even own an iPad Pro and didn't even test out the product. Yes it should theoretically output 29w but multiple people who bought one already said it doesn't. Quit spreading BS

Just make sure you get the one with USB PD (power delivery), otherwise it'll just charge the same as any other normal USB.

Yep, the first one should do the fast charging.

Read the reviews, the Anker does not charge the iPad pro 12.9 faster. I was about to get it but upon doing more research, it seems like only the Apple 29w charger is the only one capable of charging the iPad pro with "quick charge"

So far only the apple one will share the 12 inch iPad Pro at 14.5v x 2a, everything else will only charge at 5v. The higher voltage is what enables fast charging. I bought a apple charger used off eBay.
