I Must Imagine Them Happy
The grey cratered moon
Slinking in shame
From its worshipful whirl
For golden phylacteries
Refused to penetrate
Through thistled trees
Under obfuscating obelisks
An obsidian behemoth
Wears juts and notches
Dyed and decorated
With crimson palms
Men, woman, and children
This sublunaris procession
Trained by gashed earth
Muck inlaid by starry jewels
These hopeful paulbearers
Ascending the reticent bride
To a coronary crest
Ostensible Ozymandias
Etiolated in its charnel bridewell
Lugubriously alights
To undulating paroxysm
Fulminating further deformities
And noxious needs
