sunrise come, morning break
greet the day, it's yours to make

rise and fight, just don't give up

screen door crash, from broken hinge
fall from bed, regret the binge
seasons come and seasons go
smile for light, the heart won't know

want it all, you do, I want it too
not done yet, but will be soon
weighted thoughts keep glass eyes low
fist so tight, you can't let go

dirge roll on
it's not goodbye
chin up kid
don't you cry

i'll bring shovel, you bring dirt
eyes on prize, not on hurt
just lay down, at it's worst
He always comes, to quench His thirst
