[F4A] Friday the 13th: My day.
I wondered what his story was, but in the end their stories were all the same, none of them even thought to think it would end up as it always did.
His footsteps grew louder, intermixing with the tranquillity of the gentle atmosphere that blanketed the alley. Two pints, from over here he reeked of the stuff. A soft rattling of the chain link fence, no need for caution even as he turned his head in the direction, eyes unable to scan through the heavy darkness that left its coat behind as the sun died. No one pays attention to a simple rattle, it was likely just a stray cat or the wind. The wind on a dead night with no moon nor cloud in sight.
A splash at his shoe breaking the surface of the puddle, a momentary pause as he surveyed the water, wondering how much would leak. He stood too long, the alcohol working its magic and keeping his foot in there until the water seeped into his socks, making his next steps awkward and uncomfortable. He turned his head once more at a light scraping of metal on the ground. Cats again.
It was your average nondescript alleyway, walls on either side just tall enough to block out the city lights and only two directions to go once you stepped between them. Forwards and backwards. His footsteps were softer, the water adding some padding but making wet sounds as he moved onwards, a little nervous and likely unused to the area.
Cats? No, this time he was sure of it as he stopped to gaze into the darkness, staring with rapidly twitching eyes at glimmers of movement in the dim starlight. Nothing, of course but if there was nothing then why would he feel embarrassed? “Is there someone there?” He called out, words a little slurred. A lightweight.
No answer, just more silence as the rhythm of his heart slowly grew faster. Such a beautiful thing, that muscle pulsing away and his skin warming in tune with the beat. Regardless of the silence that answered him, his cheeks did flush a little with a nervous chuckle. I smirked. At the edges of his hearing, on the borders of his mind there was a whisper so silent that he couldn’t help but wonder if it was his clothing brushing along. Deep down in his pit there was an unshakeable sense, the foreboding chant honed over millions of years of evolution that he would ignore. A grown man, one of his stature in the middle of a city, even if he was a little tipsy there was nothing to be afraid of. Only children are afraid of what lies in the dark.
So then, why did sensation of eyes boring into the back of his skull never leave?
Another whisper, this time louder but still indecipherable. Perhaps the wind again, or some cat. He ran his hand from the back of his head down his neck, hitching his walking for a moment at the horripilation. Try as he may, he was unable to smooth the headstrong hairs that stood on end, the sheen of sweat beginning to form along his forehead. He was a lightweight, but sure the two pints hadn’t been too much to drink?
His heartbeat ramped up. “That fucker,” he whispered beneath his breath. Of course, it was that stranger at the bar that offered to look after his drink, leaving only half of it when he had finally gotten back. Unawares to him, it was not that fucker. But whatever calms the nerves down, right? A bit of confidence dripped back into his stature, his head a little taller and stride a little greater, hardly noticing that he had hardly moved.
The wind? He froze again at the rush of air, too fast to tell if it was hot or cold along his ear. I couldn’t resist, and neither could he stop the turning of his head. His neck slowly creaked him into place, edging on like an ancient hinge, mouth dry at the swallowing of droplets of saliva.
Nothing.
He didn’t trust his eyes, the unwavering darkness driving its tendrils into the most vulnerable sections of his brain the child in him had long tossed away, coiling around as it held him there as a statue, unwilling to move as he strained all senses.
Nothing.
He was just being paranoid, too many thoughts wandering around his brimming mind at this time of night with no phone to distract him or internet to keep his eyes glued. He took it out his pocket, still dead, just as it was an hour ago. “So much for Uber…” he muttered to himself, more than a little irked at his own incompetence to remember to charge his phone when relying on online taxi services. The mild irritation and sigh took his mind off of it all for a moment. Just a moment.
He’d look stupid if he called out again, not to anyone else as there was no one else around. Just him. And me. A sharp, but very much the opposite of loud click rang out, almost like something hitting the ground with a thud. And another. And another, each one growing louder as they came closer, his eyes staring pointedly into the darkness but unable to see a thing.
The footsteps stopped, just short of him.
“Hello?” He asked, hand shaking as he pocketed the phone and stumbled around a little. It was unmistakable, he definitely heard footsteps - and judging by the clicking, heels - walk up to him at a deliberate pace. That’s the thing with lighting, if it’s coming at the wrong angle, especially in such conditions, you’d never be able to see a thing until it was right up against you. A hot breath right up against his neck as he spun around, tripping over and glancing up.
“W-who’s there?” He demanded desperately in a shrill voice, shuffling backwards and trying to regain his footing. It was beautiful, the leer unable to disappear along my lips as I drank it all in. His fear, the cold sweat as beads ran down his head, neck and back. The sudden outbreak of humidity along his palms, the rapid hammering against his ribcage as it threatened to collapse and let the caged animal free.
The only breaking of the silence were his ragged breaths of panic and incessant pounding of his heart. Exhilarating, every minute of his unbridled dread of the unknown, his crumbling pillars of reassurance and sanity, every last drop of it was as delectable as ever. I savoured the moments he writhed along the ground, waiting for the first drop of his heartbeat - and trust me it took a while - before I spoke.
“What’s the matter?” I asked innocently, my voice startling him for a moment until he registered the feminine nature of it.
“I...uh-” he cut off, voice hitching in his throat as the darkness began to dissipate to reveal my form. It was a rather revealing latex suit with the way it clung to me and hugged my curves just a little too tightly. Ample breasts hovering, a devilish smile painted on my face and wicked aura emanating from me.
It wasn’t the day yet, a simple slitting of his throat and ‘disposal’ of his body was all I could do. Such is my nature, after all the urban legends surrounding Friday the 13th aren’t all fiction.
That? That was last week, this week I’ll finally be able to ravish a body, to extract the essence of pleasure from unsuspecting night-goers. Such is my life, not by choice but necessity. Truth be told, between me and you, I’ll choose me every time.
Oh, would you look at that? Here you come.
Alley Status: Closed
Demoness, Succubus, Monster, I have many names.
The night is young, I would have you breathless before sunrise.
