Clothing choices for staying cool in the summer. Golfing "stay cool" clothing?

It's that time of year soon, any clothing choice tips for keeping cool? We have no uniform for pants and usually I just wear regular cotton shorts, but I was thinking of trying some athletic "stay cool" "dryfit" style shorts. Was browsing a golf store and saw a bunch of "stay cool" clothing but not being a golfer (or very athletic), I've never tried them.

Anyone have experience with these?

I work outside alot for various catered events. They're expensive but worth it.

Your title is kinda sloppy. Are you doing outside events and want clothing for that while working? or are you asking about general clothing for this time of year?

I'm going to assume outside event work. So I'd go with "stay cool" or "dry fit" shorts or pants and then the newer cook cool coats They're made out of the same stuff as baseball and sports jerseys are.

Oh okay if you're inside then golf pants and then those cool coats or something like it will work.

Spandex-like underthings that have keep-cool technology are your best bet here - Underarmor and Columbia both make them, I'm sure all the big athletic brands do. They wick sweat and turn it into a cool breeze feeling on your skin, so the more you sweat the cooler you feel. The vented golf shirts (ex: Colombia Tamiami) are amazing if you're outside and there's a breeze but are just lightweight shirts otherwise.
