Question for returning player.
I haven't played Minecraft for maybe 2 years, maybe 2 and a half. How is pocket edition now. Are there actual caves and is it any good. Just wanted to know as I'm basically in the dark about all this stuff right now. I just wanted to know if it sucks still. Also is it still butt ugly, or has it picked up. Actually for pocket edition it may have well been about three years. Idk? Thanks in advance.

Pocket Edition has advanced leaps and bounds and is somewhat comparable to the PC version. It has the Nether, Hunger, Sprinting, XP/Enchanting, Potions, Redstone, etc. It has improved graphics-wise as well, arguably better than the PC and Console versions.

Are the controls still wonky?
They definitely can be improved, but they're usable.
