Hi everyone. I've been perusing this sub and it seems like there's a lot of advice being given. I'm currently 2 years into college at a decent state university, but I'm kind of at a crossroads. I haven't been able to pin down a major I'm interested in, but figure engineering is the best way to go for me and my future. I've taken all sorts of classes (biology, mathematics, comp sci, economics, basic engineering drafting, philosophy lol), but none have clicked. This summer I worked at a paper and pulp mill, and was exposed to some of the chemical processes involved there. Things like heat recycling, chemical recovery, and waste management have stood out for their economic and environmental ben

How do you write a poem

Really, How do you write a poem?

Like write one that doesn't start out too slow and

doesn't make you sound sappy when you show 'em

Maybe it's like this

Think of a word who's ending is

Close enough it's not a miss

For the poetry Rhyme-a-Meter Metrics

Yes, it's probably that

A hobby that seems on track

When a couple of words match up

and don't feel too much like patch work

It's probably what you're looking for

When it's been given a good score

By the Poetry Rhyme-a-Meter Board

of the North-West American Shore

That's P-R-M-B-N-W-A-S

And in case you couldn't make the guess

Alright, so I’m graduating from high school in like two weeks. I’m really excited, but I couldn’t give a shit what’s going on in school anymore, I just want to get out of here. I think the feeling of caring, or lack thereof, is pretty mutual across the board in my grade. So obviously some kids are pretty relaxed and falling asleep in basically every class. I don’t, cause I just don’t feel comfortable sleeping in front of others, but plenty of others are.

Anyways, my calculus class is really toned down now. It’s a pretty simple class and everyone is just gonna wing it on the final. We’ve had a sub for the past couple of weeks, because our teacher was out after giving birth. She’s back now,

Does anyone know a way to keep the sunlight on for building in pocket edition. I'm on Android, and it just gets annoying having to deal with the dark. Thanks in advance.

I haven't played Minecraft for maybe 2 years, maybe 2 and a half. How is pocket edition now. Are there actual caves and is it any good. Just wanted to know as I'm basically in the dark about all this stuff right now. I just wanted to know if it sucks still. Also is it still butt ugly, or has it picked up. Actually for pocket edition it may have well been about three years. Idk? Thanks in advance.

r/atheism•

I've been an atheist for probably 2 and a half years. I'm going to college in about 8 months and I feel extremely lost. I am miserable, and I know that my cynicism and general hate of religion for so long made me worse than I was when I was a lutheran. I know that people always say that atheism and humanism is beautiful and enlightening, but it honestly isn't. You can say that I haven't delved deep enough into atheism by studying it and loving the realness of life, but the realness of live makes absolutely no sense, because at the base of everything its all nothing, as in everything, and that just doesn't work for humans. I'm unhappy and lost in my mind and this world, and atheism doesn't so

Do you think it will be an option to turn off the player character's voice and be more like the old system, or at least turn off ambient dialogue from the character while I'm walking around, because it will take me out of the zone while playing. Also, the dialogue option are really unclear. If not, do you think we could get them to patch it in. Console heathen here, so no mods.

I don't know for sure if this is the right sub reddit to post to, but for a while now I've been experiencing a type of existential depression. I'm not always depressed, and I wouldn't put it into the realm of even being physically crippling, and the fact that it doesn't harm me has to do with the thoughts themselves I've just been thinking so much lately that it doesn't matter what anything is or was or could be. It doesn't matter what I am or might be and what other people could be if they're even real. I just can't help but feel like nothing is real and nothing matters because no matter how much you speculate there is nothing to cause what is for any kind of reason. And there's no reason o
