Success with agmitine sulfate
Hey all. I just wanted to share my recent experience with the supplement agmitine sulfate. I'm not in any way trying to promote this product so I wont share any retailers, although it's relatively cheap no matter whom you purchase it from. Here is a study from 2010 of its effects on opiate tolerance and withdrawal: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2923207/
As far as I know, oral digestion of agmitine hasn't been studied so its unknown whether its effects on opiate tolerance are due to IV doses given in the study(s).
I've been taking it about a week now and I can comfortably say that it seems to have had a profound effect on my overall withdrawal discomfort. I definitely feel withdrawal but not as bad as I would normally. Last I used was yesterday at 10am. Its now 8pm so its been about 34 hours. I guess I'll know for sure in the morning but so far, I don't feel nearly as bad as I had expected to feel and this supplement is the only thing I've done differently. I actually have energy which is unusual for me. Has anyone else had any success with this product?

I'm taking 3x 500mg per day while I'm tapering off kratom and agmatine sulphate seems to ease discomfort effectively. A little more sweating than usual but nothing more. How high was your last dose and did you taper before? Cheers to you for making this step! Please keep us posted everyone can use some optimism. I keep my fingers crossed for you!
I'm happy you mentioned this. I was thinking it would probably be a good supplement to take while tapering. Unfortunately though, its hard to answer your question because the last couple of months has consisted of me getting high for a few days, stopping, getting high, stopping, and so on. I'm not positive but I don't think I've used kratom in about a month now. I ended up reverting back to my drug of choice, heroin. But its all the same addiction to me. I'm determined to get off opiates once and for all. ALL opiates.
Oh and just an update, the agmitine didn't seem to help at all with the insomnia aspect as I hardly got any sleep last night. However, my rls, anxiety, and depression are much more suppressed than they normally would be so at this point I'm still standing by this supplement. I'll update later as the day goes on.
That's good to hear. For me, the RLS is the worst part. I'd say it's on par with stronger opioids for me. The insomnia sucks too, but I've been an insomniac for years now, and kratom doesn't help with that at all.
I have a bottle of agmatine, but never thought of using it during WD. I will try it out when I jump off in the near future. Thanks for the tip.
I agree, RLS is definitely the worst part for me as well. All the other symptoms just make the RLS even harder to deal with.
