House of glass

I once lived in a house of glass

With a soul smiling

A soul with a heart of glass

He wore similar things as I

As if a mirror on the wall

We once lived in a house of glass

He and I

The boy with the heart of glass

Each day he’d smiled crooked

While I’d smiled crooked

He and I once lived

In a house made of glass

Though no one saw us

We were happy in the glass

Both He and I with a heart of glass

Time went by

In the house of glass

Both He and I grew weary

Of each other’s painful company

Stuck in a box made of glass

We sobbed

We cried

Whilst in the house of glass

No one to save us

From the emptiness of the glass

His eyes showed disdain

The looking glass of disdain

Spiting the house of glass

Where both could not

Escape

Both He and I trapped

Within the looking glass

Spiting each other

Within the house of glass

A glass box of Decay

He looks at mirrors

And sees I

His lifeless eyes

Trapped within empty house of flies

Within the cold box of lies

“Finally” we mutter

I broke the glass

Now we are no longer trapped

Though our hearts now empty

Like the wretched house of glass
