Go if you must

Go if you must,
But do not part,
May you go a circle around and realise,
the home was always there,
from where you'd start.

Leave if you should,
but don't leave me behind,
may you see new horizons,
May you seek prosperity,
But dont lose me,
for when memories you'd rewind.

Grieved you'd precede me,
but grieved you may not proceed,
find a way with this chosen way
that when you look back,
you see grievances lost and
you find yourself happier indeed.

See you off I must,
for only your vision I may see again,
the wanting heart will never be sated,
but take it, if it is the cost,
in assurance that your pains be waned.

And now when your image is evanescent,
Down the street,
send me postcards, send me letters,
addressed to your address of home,
because there is where, to you, again I shall meet.
