So I did some late Spring Cleaning and found a 'few' game cards...

...that's a lot of money I spent over 5 years.

How much have you guys spent on RuneScape :')?

Edit: there were 28 game cards in total, ranging from ~$10 to $25 +1 7.95 card :)

Haha that reminds me when I was cleaning out our basement computer desk to move a new one in there, and I stumbled on a litany of Runescape, League, Xbox MS pts, Xbox gold, PSN cards, anything you can imagine. Have 4 brothers that are avid gamers like me, so you can imagine the pile of stuff that was in the drawers :P. Hey at least if we ever had to recover an account we had plenty of card codes to use!! The challenge would be which account had what HA!

Wow. How much in cards does that total to?

Personally for me, I've only spent RL cash ONCE and that was for a 1 month membership back in ~2009. Literally that was the only time I was a member until I returned to this game in 2014 and made enough GP as a F2P from scratch for a bond then maintained bonds and never lost membership since then.

I used to use the Pay By Phone method thinking I was slick and sneaky then when my parents found out..r.i.p me.

Did the same but 10 year old me panicked and hung up half-way through the number then got the courage to do it later on. so i got billed twice

I've maintained my membership at the $5 usd rate for quite a long time. I think that's an ok investment for my favorite game of all time.

I've kept all but like 5 of mine so I'd know how much I've spent on RS.

I've got $835 total spent in game cards, since I've never paid for membership via credit card, and these stretch back to ~2008. I've been a concurrent member since 2011, and first started buying these cards in Blockbuster. How's that feel for old?

I have 21 $25 cards, 8 $10 cards, and 3 $7.95 cards.

Rip Blockbuster, you shall be remembered for extortionate game rentals and over prices movies </3

Probably a couple hundred dollars, from before bonds were released and I used any allowance money I saved between chips and soda for membership lmfao

I've been paying for membership for basically 10 years straight..... And thats just on my main. I hate to think what i've spent over the years.

Between paying for membership for the last 10 years, buying everything on Solomans, and buying ton of keys, I've probably spent more than $3k

I've spent nearly $6k AUD on Puzzle and Dragons, and almost $2k on RS TH keys etc. I have a problem I think.

It's only a problem if you can't afford it. If you spend every penny you have on TH keys when you can't afford your water bill for the month, then you have a problem.

I can afford it, just think there are probably better ways to spend my cash.

Some people get drunk in Vegas for 2k $. Those treasure hunter keys will benefit you a lifetime, albeit not the best benefit.

I've been the drunk guy in Vegas that spends thousands :(

Probably, but if you can afford it and you enjoy it, then it's a fine way to spend your cash.
