Ripples
Ice blue liquid glass
Calm and undisturbed
A blank being
Lacking the understanding of originality
Dittoing
Borrowing any beauty in reach
To project as its own
Its only when the still water is disturbed
And ripples of energy
Barreling towards infinity
Gliding across the surface
Fragmenting the illusion
Muddle the silky substances exterior
That you can see which landscape
Is solid
A man I respect
Said a few words to me
That shook my core
That resonated with exactly what I was suspecting
Now
When I look in the mirror
I find that
Something isn’t what it appears to be
I dive deeper
Into the ice blue glass
Emitting small waves as I enter
The silk surface
Begins to fluctuate
distorting the illusion it holds
something is rippling
But I am already in the water
And I can’t tell if it’s *me*
Or the dead eyed image
Peering back
From the cold dead sea
