[Excel] Generate a calendar from a list of events

A client asked me recently if there was a way to generate a calendar from a list of events. I didn't like any of the solutions I saw, so I wrote a macro from scratch, and put it on Github.

Feel free to use it if it helps you.

I'd also love to hear any comments or suggestions.

Update: I added a recurring events feature, based on a suggestion from u/PT_Clownshow. The new version is up on Github.

Sounds Co do you happen to have a screenshot example of the output? On phone so can't test the code.

Thamks btw. Sounds great and could have some great potential

Cool, thanks . I spent a couple of hours today adapting it for work and have it working to keep track of diarised workload for us. A good tutorial on use of collections for me too, thanks.

Awesome, I'm happy it helped you.

If you have any suggestions, submit a pull request. I'd love to make it better.

Thoughts on making another column on the events sheet that involves dealing with recurring activities? i.e. option to make something appear daily or weekly on the calendar?

That's an interesting idea, however, it will add an additional layer of complexity. As of now, the macro just users Excel to sort the list of events, and then separates them by date. To add recurring events, it would have to calculate all the dates it reoccurs on, and then manually re-sort each day.
I will try to look into it though, when I have a chance.
