Trivia Tuesday is coming to r/CollegeBasketball, and the top three winners will have a special flair for this upcoming season!

After a lot of talking with some superstar users and our very own mods, we have found out how to make weekly college basketball trivia for this sub! It will start next Tuesday, and will be called “Trivia Tuesday”, just like r/CFB’s name. First of all, I want to thank u/bakonydraco and u/sciencevolforlife for sharing how they go about doing weekly trivia on their own subs. They were imperative for getting this thing going.

If you have absolutely no idea what is going on, please refer to this post to catch up - it goes over the preliminary information, and then read this thread for more up-to-date information regarding the competition.

Second thing, how will this work? Well, every Tuesday, I will submit a link to a Google Form with ten questions, and they will hopefully increase in difficulty as you move on, and the goal is that no one gets every question right! I will then be transferring to Google Sheets, where you will be able to see what everyone got! You will have 48 hours to complete the quiz, and the Trivia Tuesday thread will be stickied for those two days. The first question will be asking for your username - which you must spell correctly or you will not be allowed to partake in the competition that week - and then you will be allowed to answer the ten questions.

Next, let’s address the prizes! After talking to our mods, we have decided that the winners should get a special flair. The first place winner will get a gold trophy or as a special flair, second place silver, and third bronze. The winners will be decided by the most points accumulated until the season starts, so you guys will be rewarded for being active during the offseason instead of just checking with a few weeks till the season begins.

Fourth, let’s go over the honor rule. Please, this competition involves no money, no gold, just a special flair for the winner. I will try to make the questions obscure enough to not allow this to happen, but please do not use Google for your answers; it would rather the fun for those of you who play the fair way!

We’re nearing the end, so hang with me. This one’s important! I’m not a clever man, so please private message me with a question and answer, and if I deem it acceptable, it will be in the next week’s trivia! This has two advantages: it makes it easier for me to make the quizzes every week, and you automatically know the answer to one of the questions, giving you an advantage over everyone else!

I hope you guys like this idea, I’m hoping it spices up the offseason! Don’t forget to private message me with ideas for questions!

Tl;dr: These threads will be posted every Tuesday, and you will have 24 hours to answer every question and submit the quiz. The thread will be stickied at the top of the sub for those two days. First place gets a special gold trophy flair, second gets silver trophy flair, and third gets bronze.
