I am leaning more towards EVGA but price wise the MSI is more appealing. Help me decide!
I will be coming from a GT 650M, very excited!
I am also open for other suggestions, so please add if you have any.

MSI has a better cooler, Evga may have a better support. I'd take MSI especially when it's cheaper.

This is a good review, the Gaming X is just ahead in most benchmarks. Personally I would go EVGA based on looks, black + white fits into builds better then red, unless you have a red build. I would mostly base it on that.
Why on earth would you make a card red and add a RGB LED that can be any color? Doesn't that defeat the point? Looking at you too Zotac with your bright yellow back plate.
Yeah I find it silly, you can only really use white/red LEDs everything else looks silly. The Zotac card is the worse, I think someone else had a blue + white card.
I think the Palit card was blue/white, which actually matches the color scheme I'm going for, but I'm American and Palit doesn't sell here (plus I want to SLI and that card is like 3 slots big)
Thats a shame. I've always wanted to spray paint some parts of my build too match colour schemes since most things are red/blue and I've always wanted something different. However I don't have the balls or the skill needed.
Loved my MSI 760 and my new 1070 X is running great so far.
MSI has average support, and in my opinion one of the best coolers. If you ask me, go for the MSI card.
