World Bank Development Report, 2041
North America:
The main development in North America was the announcement of the NAMCO space program, the rest of the year spent arming up, with minor technological civilian development. Mexico continues it's investment in the region, selecting a Cuban city for redevelopment. ^^^Egg ^^^gap
Central America and the Caribbean:
Hispaniola took the Mexican peso as it's official currency this year, and the USC began investment into Guyana, with many sources of foreign money running through the project. Wide spread support is helping the region get on par with their larger neighbors.
South America:
LATO formed a non aggression and free movement pact, encouraging intercontinental tourism. Chile has become an agriculture center in the region, supplying genetically enhanced crops to the rest of its LATO allies.
Northern Europe:
France continues to be a problem child, forcing the occupying countries to beef up security in the country, and implement anti insurgency forces to deal with French civilian resistance. the Northern League adds Switzerland to its ranks, breaking its long standing neutral streak.
Eastern Europe:
the Romanian civil war continues, with Bulgaria joining the fray in support of the loyalists. Elsewhere in the region, trade deals and alternate fuel investment try to bring as much stability to the region as possible
Mediterranean:
Rebels in Egypt begin to fracture, as differing viewpoints in leadership cause cracks in support. bombings in Egypt, however, should tell the government that fractured rebels are still cause for concern. The rest of the region, however, is quiet
Western Africa:
The Dominion continues to busy itself with infrastructure and military advancements, however cracks in support in other African nations are becoming apparent. Somalia has declared that all Dominion military presence leave, post haste.
Central Africa:
the Congo has begun development of rail, alongside investment in improved internet infrastructure are giving investors a reason to look to the region.
Southern Africa:
The region was largely quiet this year
Eastern Africa:
Somalia distances itself from the Dominion, requesting all military assets out by the start of the year, after private meetings with China. Investors are worried at the sudden turn away from the Dominion.
Western Asia:
Lebanon splitting from the UAF, and Israeli support of Druze statehood have created tension in the area, with only positive in the region the relatively industrious development projects by Qatar-Bahrain
Central Asia:
the USSR was fairly quiet this year, along with its satellite countries
Southern Asia:
India prepares for any possible near future conflict, coordinating with allies in the creation and improvement of its military infrastructure.
Eastern Asia:
China has been improving itself on all fronts. Militarily, with the development of new aircraft, procurement of submarines and naval support ships, and continued foreign military placements. On the homefront, labor reform to stabilize worker numbers, cloud seeding to deal with North Korean fallout, and stategic government business loans to encourge internal growth.
However, the conflict with the Phillipines, the offer and subsequent inability to invest in Africa, and move back to the Yuan have stunted the overall brilliant year for China. ^^^Egg ^^^gap
Southwest Pacific:
The utter destruction of the Filipino navy, along with the continued fighting in Malaysia are scaring off investors in the region en masse, with no sign of improvement in the rest of the region
