Coverage Help
What can I be doing pre snap to help my non usered players?
I user a LB usually and I suck at it, but just being close and moving around can usually make someone go elsewhere... and there is ALWAYS elsewhere. I have only been doing DC until the pre snap glitch is fixed but even if I draft 2 elite corners and 2 elite safeties, they suck balls. It's just annoying to successfully take routes away pretty reliably just to have my team give up a 15 yard pass down field.
Does anyone play man? crossing routes kill it so bad I never do. The elite Champ Bailey you get in DC can't even cover an average reciever crossing.
Also, there is probably a reason by why are there no zone cover 1 plays? I hate playing man because its so easy to beat, but sine the flats and short routes are always open bringing 1 saftey down to help I think would be sweet. In general how do I free up a saftey to help with short passes/runs? Just run 4-6?

When running Man coverage do it out of Dime, Nickel or Quarters formations that way you have more DB's on the field who can actually defend in man coverage, Also I'd recommend Pressing 9/10 times you play man converage as the safeties in Cover 2 Man will shutdown the deep ball even if CB is burned at LOS and your User in the middle should be able to stop crossing routes, then you only need to worry about Corner routes which you can put your deep zone safeties into Purples if your opponent keeps throwing to the corner..Good luck
Whats the difference between the default blue and purple routes? Does purple mean get farther to the sideline? The TE out route seems to be the hardest damn thing to stop.
purple will drop back further while being closer to the sideline, light blue for flats will have the player sit midway and try to break on short routes such as drags and throws to the HB, and the dark blue are the basic cover deep passes
