Goons got steamrolled out of the north, got shit on for a few months in lowsec, and just recently settled in delve.

Jump fatigue is a thing that limits how often you can jump capitals. It's great for limiting power projection so you can't just get dropped on by PL or whoever from 6 mids away. But it makes moving caps literally cancer.

The sov system got completely reworked, so that smaller entities have a decent chance of taking and holding systems they actually use (in theory). Turns out, it's really annoying and not fun at all. Also most of those small entities are just pets of larger entities anyways.

Tech 3 destroyers are a new thing that is generally OP (especially the minmatar one which is super OP), and makes assault frigates entirely useless.

New T2 destroyers with a jump drive that will jump anything within 6KM. It's probably the best addition in quite a while, but it's kinda cancerous when you combine them with ECM bursts.

Stations and POSes are being replaced by player owned structures called citadels. Citadels are WAY more expensive than poses, currently have none of the utility, and are broken in one very crucial aspect. There are 3 sizes, medium, large, and XL (astrahaus, Fortazar, and Keepstar respectively). Astrahauses aren't a big deal to take out with a decent sized fleet. Forts are pretty tough, and Keepstars are near impossible to take out unless you kill them during a 15 minute online timer.

There are some mechanics that revolve around citadels. Most importantly, they have a DPS cap, so the minimum time to kill it is 30 minutes. Vulnerability timers are paused by a DPS threshold that is somewhere lower than the DPS cap. Keep the DPS above the threshold, and the vulnerability timer doesn't advance. However, the DPS cap or DPS threshold don't take into account tidi, so the more people you bring to a citadel kill, the harder it is to hit the threshold. To date, only one keepstar has been destroyed, and it was during the 15 minute online timer, before it had any defenses.

Ill add to that...

  • Caps got a complete rework. Carriers are just dps ships now, Force auxiliaries handle triage. The Ewar for caps were changed.

  • All the capital weapons got reworked, fighters have been redone, capitals have a lot of their own stuff they didnt have before. doomsdays were redone. Dreads and Titans can fit one of two types of weapons either weapons good against caps and structures or weapons that are good against sub caps.

  • Citadels were introduced which are basically destroyable customizeable player outpost in 3 sizes and have far more placing freedom than POS and outpost combined.

  • We have 3 camera views including a tactical camera view now.

  • NPCs have capital ships now and will spawn in certain locations.

  • We have new pirate capitals that are overpriced and underused. They are overpriced because CCP made their material requirements stupidly ridiculous.

  • Fleet fights now either consist of capital blobs or fights using pirate/t2/t3 ships. Cruisers and smaller are popular for fleets. Battlecruisers are dead. Pirate and black ops battleships are used pretty decently for pvp.

  • CCP nerfed the warp speed of BCs and BS so now they are almost as fast as warping around in a dread.

  • PVE in carriers and sometimes dreads are a lot more common now.

  • We are getting more stuctures to replaces POSes in winter.

  • Alpha clones allow limited free to play on new and existing accounts in nov.

  • Skill injectors allow you to shoot up from 500k SP to 500 mil as fast as you can use injectors and click apply skill points to your skills. Its rather expensive for an injector costing about 2/3 of a PLEX for 500k SP with diminishing returns for higher SP players.

*Two Keepstars have been killed so far, one in a >3k person TiDi fest that resulted in a proper killmail not being produced, and one in the back of nowhere Russian space that was murdered by less than 250 people.

Null is quite healthy now. Everyone kinda fighting each other instead of giant blue donut.

Hahahahahahaha it's still a gigantic blue donut

"healthy", "fighting" each other, "no blue donut"

I wouldn't call null "healthy" if people are just play fighting and not hitting SOV/PoS's due to being a big blue donut in the background so PL/NC. don't have to worry about moons being hit.

u/Asdar covered a lot of it. Read http://updates.eveonline.com/ and it covers major things along with links to articles and stuff describing them.

If the page starts lagging out, just copy-paste the url to a new tab. I think it has some caching issue.

If you like big sov battles then fozzie fuckef up your game. If you like jump drives then ccp fucked up your game even more. If you like spending half your fleet time traveling like a second job then ccp have improved your game

If you liked being buttfucked all the time when you used capitals, CCP fucked up your game to the most possible extent.
